Found was cancelled by NBC after two seasons, now finds a new home at Netflix

Found is a procedural drama series that follows the perceptive Gabi Mosely, a crisis specialist, and her team, as they track down missing people who are overlooked by authorities. Her team will use unconventional means to find people. Gabi, who was once a victim herself will help those from the marginalized community.

Found debut episode on NBC had gathered about 10.5 million viewers within the first week. This ensured the show getting its second season. While the first season got about 3 million live viewers, second season only got around 2 million.

After two seasons, Found was cancelled in May 2025 to the disappointment of the fans. The show was cancelled due to budgetary limitations and dwindling viewership. Earlier this year, it was revealed that the series could not find another platform to continue the series, despite the makers shopping for a new home. Many fans even lobbied to bring the series back. They took to social media to share their disappointment. A fan wrote on X,

It’s a bloodbath at NBC today. “Suits LA,” “Found,” “The Irrational,” “Night Court,” and “Lopez vs. Lopez” have all been cancelled. Yikes.

Found Season 2, in fact, ended on a few cliffhangers. At the end of the last season, the fate of Sir (played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar) was left uncertain. Earlier this year, Nkechi Okoro Carroll spoke to TV Insider about the series finale before the show was cancelled. The showrunner said,

“At the end of the day, what will continue to be the heart of the show are the cases that are so personally meaningful to our M&A team and to Trent and the nature of the cases that we will cover on the show to continue to draw attention to the forgotten ones. That will always continue to be a part of the show, and the character drama and the character dynamics that our fans, God bless them, we have such amazing fans, our Foundlings, that part of the show that they love so much that will absolutely continue and we will continue to peel back these layers on these characters that you think you probably know well by now. But the truth is we’ve only just started to scratch the surface.”

Found Season 1 and 2 comprises 35 episodes and will be available on Netflix on Friday, January 2, 2026, in United States. There has been no further update about possible renewal of the series. The future of the show will highly depend on the reception to the first two seasons.

A fan took to X to share their excitement,

“Netflix could Revive Found!! Pls Guys watch it on Netflix when they upload it so we can get a season 3! #Found"

As per IMDb, the synopsis of the NBC/Peacock drama series states,
