Prime Video’s brand-new docuseries, One Night in Idaho: The College Murders, will depict the horrific events of November 13, 2022, when four students of the University of Idaho were stabbed to death in their off-campus home. The series will be available to stream on July 11, 2025, only on Prime Video.

The four students—21-year-olds Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen, and 20-year-olds Xana Kernodle and her boyfriend, Ethan Chapin—were brutally murdered on the early morning of November 13, with no suspect found. Since the police were not sharing any information regarding the investigation, the people closest to the deceased feared for their safety as rumors began to circulate about the case on the internet.

Later, in December, the police got hold of 28-year-old Bryan Christopher Kohberger, a criminology student who was accused of killing the four students and is currently awaiting trial. The trial will begin in August, where several questions, including the biggest one—the motive of the murders—are expected to be revealed.

More on this in our story.

The murders of the four college students shocked the whole country and became national news. Bryan Kohberger was arrested in December 2022 after the investigators found several pieces of evidence linking him to the murders. First, they found a knife sheath in Kaylee and Madison’s room that had Kohberger’s DNA, which they matched by taking the trash from his parents’ home in Pennsylvania.

It was also revealed that Kohberger’s phone had also pinged around the area of the murders several times before November 13. Other than that, the white sedan that the police considered as the suspect's also matched with Kohberger’s Hyundai Elantra.

After the change of venue, Kohberger will be tried in Ada County on August 11, 2025, revealing more about the tragic incident.
