Outlander: Blood of My Blood, Episode 9, titled "Braemer," began with all the Clans preparing for the Earl of Mar's annual tynchal. Colum orders Ellen to accompany Clan Mackenzie as Malcolm's betrothed, and Brian tricks Simon Fraser into taking Julia with them. The Earl declared that he had a special guest in Outlander: Blood of My Blood Episode 9, who turned out to be Rob Roy McGregor, the Scottish Outlaw introduced earlier. Rob gave a rousing speech about the Jacobite rebellion and the need to restore a Scottish King to the throne. He urged his fellow Highlanders not to submit to the English coin and join him to restore a Stuart King to the throne. As Rob's speech concludes, the Earl asks all the Clan Chieftains to cast their vote on whether they will join them in the upcoming Jacobite Rising.

Simon Fraser is naturally swayed by Rob's speech and daydreams that his 'heir' will become the future King of Scotland. Simon is shocked to discover that Ellen passed her purity test; he loses his chance to speak with the Earl and is humiliated in the meeting.

Elsewhere in the meeting in Outlander: Blood of My Blood Episode 9, Rob Roy asks Dougal when he will deliver the promised MacKenzie coin for the Jacobite Rising.
