It appears that Mary is in the killer’s custody. At the motel, Robert asserts that he doesn’t believe Norma mistook Mirabelle for Maxine. He also does not understand why she is worried about Doug. Visibly distraught, Ann, Dinah, and Evelyn are called to identify the body, and they realize it is not Maxine. Virginia emphasizes that the body should not be seen by anyone else. As Palm Royale Season 2 Episode 7 goes on, Maxine feels lonely being by herself in the motel room and ventures out. Maxine strikes a conversation with Bruce, who is enjoying in a hot tub. And of course, Maxine yells out the reason she is at the motel. Guess the short-lived secret is out. But the twist in Palm Royale Season 2 Episode 7, comes when Maxine sneakily manages to get in and open the coffin. It is revealed that Mirabelle is not in the coffin as Douglas had her cremated. Mary is there to give a message from Norma as she opens the coffin and finds Maxine. Mitzi, who was already traumatized by the earlier incident and leaves the place crying out loud. Douglas will suddenly step in and speak about how sorry he is for his actions and that he loves his ex-wife with whom he was married for 20 years. Robert also shares a moving message. While the funeral is going on, Dinah discovers that Post was the one who sent the letters since she stole Nixon from her. Dinah had to get the imperial egg from Switzerland to get her to forgive her. It is also revealed that Norma is in fact Robert’s mother. The reason behind her actions remain sketchy. Evelyn now is stuck with a bill of 8 million in taxes, which infuriates her and she gets into an argument with Eddie. It also looks like Douglas still has feelings for Maxine, who learns about everything from Virginia and forgives his ex-wife. He gives her Mirabelle's ashes, which she puts in the hot tub. The two will share a passionate kiss and Maxine agrees to go to Switzerland with him. While Jed has always been Evelyn's support system, she would discover a picture of Mitzi in his wallet. This changes everything about Jed’s true intentions.As the Palm Royale Season 2 Episode 7 comes to a close it is revealed that Mary was held hostage by Norma for three days in her own house and refers to someone as ‘bootlegger’, who is revealed to be Jed. So as it would appear, Jed has a more sinister role to play in it all. Norma is heading to Switzerland and so is the gang.
