1) Ella Maisy Purvis as Patience Evans:

We all know that Patience Evans is the heart and soul of the Channel 4 show. As an autistic female lead, she works in criminal records, surrounded by files, but her brain? Her brain never stops connecting the dots and it's always working overtime.

She is the kind of character who notices patterns that others might just miss. This is what makes her a huge help to the team, along with her character having good autistic character representation. on screen

However, with Patience Season 2, things now feel a bit too different. Her old mentor has moved on, and there is a new boss who does not trust her way of working at all.

Season 2 also shows Patience dealing with change, which is not easy for her. She, as an autistic character, likes clear routines and clear rules, and so, sudden shifts in people and power shake her up. At the very same time, her feelings for Elliot slowly grow, adding a softer side to her story.

2) Mark Benton as DCI Calvin Baxter:

In Season 2, Calvin often plays the role of the balancer. He understands structures and rules, but he also sees the value Patience brings to the investigations. DCI Calvin Baxter does not need a whole lot of command to show actual control. A look or a short line usually says more than enough.

Jake also is the middle ground of the entire team. He is the kind of character who understands the pressures being thrown his way, he understands loyalty and he understands the true meaning of teamwork.

4) Ali Ariaie as DC Will Akbari:

Will Akbari might not be the one to grab most of the spotlight, but he is a member who adds a whole lot of stability to the group. He works closely with Jake and fits naturally into the daily rhythm of the station. In Patience Season 2, Will helps keep the investigations moving without any drama or ego.

Will feels like someone you would genuinely trust on a team. He is someone who listens, supports, and keeps focused on the work.

5) Adrian Rawlins as Douglas Gilmour:

Douglas Gilmour plays a huge role in Patience's personal life. He was close to her father and became her godfather after her dad passed away. He understands her but he also encourages her to walk into the world much more confidently. In Patience Season 2, his presence reminds us that Patience's life exists beyond crime scenes and police files.

6) Tom Lewis as Elliot Scott:

7) Jessica Hynes as DI Frankie Monroe:

Frankie Monroe makes her presence known fast. She likes strict rules, clear limits, and does not like Patience involving herself in active cases. In Patience Season 2, Frankie becomes the main source of tension inside the station. Frankie loves motorbikes and pastries, which adds a fun little layer to her personality as a DI.
