Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 7 was the shortest episode of the series until now. The 32-minute episode was tense and suspenseful as the protagonists try to survive and leave the alternate dimension, which is revealed to be the one where the N**is won the Second World War and took over the US. However, the last act of the episode also packs in a lot of twists.

This Peacemaker Season 2 episode also reveals that there might be more to the alternate universe's version of Auggie Smith than fans may have believed about him. However, his storyline is cut short as we see his death in the third act of this episode. Keith is also injured, but the closing montage sees him being hospitalized, possibly setting him up for the future:

"The 11th Street Kids navigate the truth of the alternate world as Flag and A.R.G.U.S. Close in."

The alternate dimension Auggie is killed by Vigilante in Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 7:

Chris and Emilia attack the guard and try to escape to their home dimension (DCU) as they are pursued by the police. Meanwhile, Leota Adebayo is running away from the mob when she is finally helped by Rip Jagger/Judomaster. Conversely, Emilia and Chris are cornered by the cops when Auggie Smith/Blue Tiger and Keith Smith/Captain Triumph kill the former and take the two to their mansion.

There, Chris tells Auggie and Keith the truth about the alternate Chris's death in the Peacemaker Season 2 premiere. While Keith is enraged, Auggie sees the goodness in Christopher Smith in front of him. He tries to convince Keith to let Chris and his friends return to their home dimension. He is giving a dramatic monologue, and right in the middle of it, Adrian Chase/Vigilante crashes in along with his doppelgänger and stabs the Blue Dragon to death.

James Gunn, who is also the showrunner of the series, pointed out that this scene shows that nothing is clean cut in the world of Peacemaker. Fans for a while believed that the Auggie of the alternate dimension was just as vile as his DCU counterpart when it comes to his views about sensitive topics like race. But the episode hints that might not be the case.

But we don't get to know more as he dies before we can learn more about this dimension's Auggie, and that could be one of the drawbacks of the episode.

HBO released a promo for Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 8, Full Nelson, which is also its final one. This week's episode seemingly closes the door on the alternate dimension as Chris surrenders the metallic case, which is also the QUC key to A.R.G.U.S., and lets the cops arrest him. However, A.R.G.U.S. might not be done as we see agents, including Harcourt, explore the inside of the QUC.

Actress Sol Rodriguez, who plays Sasha Bordeaux in the series, teased what fans can expect from the sixth, seventh, and eighth episodes of this season in a CBR interview after the fifth episode was released to the public:

"It's a movie made in three parts. It's big, big episodes. Big everything. Everything becomes crazy. Everyone starts to intertwine, and they're very — that's why they're not sending them to you. They're very big episodes. I hope you enjoy them once they come out."

As the finale streams next week, catch the seven episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 that are available via streaming on HBO Max.
