Netflix aired Perfect Match Season 3 Episode 9 on August 8, 2025. The episode titled, Split It or Quit It, saw a compatibility challenge. With four rounds and different tasks, all the couples participated in the challenge.
After Rachel and Ray won, they were sent on a date. They were also given a special power. With that, they send two female participants, Juliette and Sandy, on dates. As the two returned with Carrington and JR, it threatened the existing connection in the house.
Multiple participants were rethinking their connection and were exploring with whom they should match. However, Perfect Match Episode 9 ended before the newly formed couples were revealed.
Perfect Match Season 3 Episode 9 Recap: An exciting compatibility challenge, followed by the Final Mixer
Episode 9 of the Netflix show started with Louis and Sandy's conversation. He shared that the "vibe" wasn't good in the house. He was referring to the tension among couples after the girls learned the truth about events from the boys' mixer.
Lucy told Rachel that Daniel slept on the sofa the night before. Recalling his and AD's arguments, Ollie confessed that he was at fault. He told her that if she didn't want to be with him, then she should tell him. Because he didn't want to be with anyone else.
"You don't make me feel like you wanna be with me," replied AD.
Participants went to see Perfect Match host Nick for the compatibility challenge. He mentioned that couples should have great communication and teamwork.
He shared the details for the final compatibility challenge:
"It's called Keepin' It 50-50. Here's how it'll work. As you can see around me, there's six lanes, one for each couple competing today. In those lanes are four tasks that have to be completed. It'll be a race to see which couple can complete all four tasks and make it here in the winner's circle with me."
Nick added that each of the participants would be responsible for 50% of each task. The first task was a tire change, the second was a mystery buffet, the third was a cold plunge, and the fourth was an inverted pyramid.
For the third challenge, the couple had to stay submerged in chilled water. The pyramid needed to be rebuilt, as couples would take turns to do that.
As the challenge started, soon, AD and Ollie were leading, followed by Ray and Rachel. Soon, Daniel and Lucy also joined them. Further in the challenge, Ollie and AD were leading with Ray and Rachel closely following them.
Perfect Match stars Rachel and Ray finished first and won the compatibility challenge. They went on a date at night. It was at the fighting ring where they enjoyed a wrestling match.
The next morning, Rachel and Ray were sent to the Boardroom. They were given the power to bring two male participants into the house. They chose Sandy and Juliette to go on dates.
Juliette and Sandy returned with their dates, Carrington and JR, to the house. Fellow participants were getting ready for the final mixer. Nick Lachey also joined them. Juliette had a conversation with Madison. She shared that Scott didn't like that she held Carrington's hand.
"Scott is giving a 23-year-old boy right now, a man who can't control his emotions. He looks like a lost puppy," confessed Juliette.
Sandy felt confused and overwhelmed. She had a chat with Louis, and later she also talked to JR. Before the recoupling results were revealed, the episode ended.
