Physical: Asia Episode 7: What happened during the Zigzag Hurdle Match between Mongolia, Turkey, and Japan

The latest Physical: Asia Episode 7 saw Group B teams competing against each other in Quest 3. The first challenge was the Zigzag Hurdle Match. Two participants from each team had to go over a total of 20 laps over the hurdles. The team to finish first would win the challenge.

Team Turkey's Ali talked about his focus and opponents:

"All we needed to focus on was winning. I didn't care who my opponent was. All I cared about was getting over the obstacles as quickly as possible. That's it."

Soon, the challenge started. All three teams started strong for Round 1. Team Mongolia's Khandsuren forgot to press the button after finishing the first lap.

Team Japan's Kana Watanabe struggled to go over hurdles in the beginning.

"It was surprisingly hard to jump. I could tell the gap between me and the other two runners was starting to grow which was really distracting," confessed Kana Watanabe.

Team Mongolia's Khandsuren also slipped once before jumping the pillar. Soon, all three teams were going steady with the same number of laps remaining. Khandsuren noted that after she forgot to push the button and then she panicked. Despite her attempts to push through, she was out of breath.

Team Turkey finished first ten laps before their competitors. Soon, Nefise Karatay took over after Ali Sofuoğlu finished his ten laps. She was quicker and moved comparatively faster. Team Japan's Soichi Hashimoto also started quicker after Kana Watanabe was done with her ten laps. Physical: Asia's teams, Turkey and Japan, were competing closely while Mongolia was behind.

"The hurdles weren't just high, they were super wide too. You had to completely clear them if you wanted to get over. It was challenging. A lot harder than I thought," confessed Soichi Hashimoto.

Team Turkey's Nefise noted that the height of the hurdles was really frustrating. After Team Mongolia's Dulguun Enkhbat started his ten laps, the challenge got even more exciting.

Team Japan's Soichi was the first one to finish his laps and get the flag. For second place, there was a close call between Mongolia and Turkey. After Dulguun Enkhbat from Team Mongolia tripped, Team Turkey's Nefise got the second flag.

Physical: Asia Round 2 of the Zigzag Hurdle Match was intense as participants were tired from the first round. It was between Team Turkey and Team Japan. The first ones were Nefise and Kana.

"Round two was absolute torture. But I just kept pushing. I thought I was gonna faint," confessed Nefise.

After Nefise and Kana finished their ten laps, soon, Soichi and Ali took over. The two were quite faster than their teammates. It resulted in Team Japan's win as the gap between the two teams was quite longer. Hence, Soichi was able to finish first. As a result, Japan was the winner, while Team Turkey was second.
