Physical: Asia Episode 6: What went down during Quest 3 between Korea, Australia, and the Philippines?

Recently released Physical: Asia Episode 6 featured Quest 3. It was the Team Representative Match.

Six countries were divided into two groups:

  • Group A: Team Australia, Team Philippines, Team Korea,
  • Group B: Team Mongolia, Team Japan, Team Turkey.

Group A was up first. There were four games in the Team Representative Match. The teams were free to choose their representatives for each of these games. This included the sack toss game, zigzag hurdling, pillar vault, and hanging endurance game.

Team Australia was leading from the first game. While the fourth game, the sack toss was ongoing, the episode ended. To know more about each of these games and how players from each team performed, read further.


Physical: Asia Episode 6: Quest 3 - Team Representative Match between Australia, Philippines, and Korea

Physical: Asia Episode 6 featured the third quest. It was called the Team Representative Match. It had four different games. After the teams arrived at the player arena, the announcer revealed the details:

"Your third quest, the Team Representative Match, will consist of four individual games. The saco toss. One person. In this timed game, the players must throw the sack over the hurdle in order to pass the sack to their opponents. The hurdles are 4 meters tall. As for that sack, its weight starts at 14kg."

The next task was hanging endurance. For that, participants had to hang from long strips of fabric, as long as they could. The third task was Stone Totem Endurance. It was a two-person task.

"In this game, while standing back to back two representatives from each team will fight to uphold four totems as long as possible. The weight of each stone totem is 135kg. Should even one of the totems fall to the ground, that team will be eliminated," added the announcer.

The last task on Physical: Asia's Quest 3 was zigzag hurdling, also known as pillar jump rope. It was also a two-person task. For that, two players from each team would compete in a short relay. They would go through ten laps'

The announcer also revealed that every member of each team must compete in at least one of the four games. The lowest-earning team will be eliminated from Physical: Asia. The three teams from Group A were then given time to strategize and choose representatives for each of the four games.

The first game was the pillar vault. Participating players were:

  • Team Korea: Kim Dong-hyun and Yun Sung-Bin,
  • Team Australia: Dom Tomato and Katelin van Zyl,
  • Team Philippines: Lara Lorraine Deang Liwanag and Robyn Lauren Brown.

With faster and smoother movements, Australia won the first game.

The second game was the Totem Endurance match. Team Philippines Justin-Ray, Team Australia's Eloni-Rob, and Team Korea's Min-jae-Eun-sil participated in Game 2. With a whistle, the endurance match started.

Team Philippines was the first one to let go of their grip. However, Team Japan and Team Korea were still going strong. After 25 minutes, the two teams were still competing against each other. Soon, Team Korea lost one group at 17:33 minute mark. As a result, Team Australia won the second game as well.

The third game on Physical: Asia was the hanging endurance challenge. For that, the announcer revealed the rules:

"Last one hanging match is a game in which players suspend themselves via hanging ropes. To do so, they will hold two of the rings with their hands, while using the other two rings as supportive footholds. However, holding one ring with two hands, or hooking one ring around both feet, is now allowed."

The announcer also revealed that after a certain amount of time, players must release one of their hands. After some more time, they would be asked to change their positions.

  • Team Australia: Alexandra,
  • Team Korea: Choi Seung-yeon,
  • Team Philippines: Mark Mugen.

As the game started, three players got to their positions. After 20 minutes, they were still going strong. They were notified to release one of their hands on a 30-minute mark.

Later, the Physical: Asia participants were asked to uncross their feet. Team Korea's player was the first one to fall after a 2:42-minute mark on the clock. A minute later, Team Japan's participant also lost their grip. As a result, Team Australia won their third consecutive game. With eight points, Team Australia was leading. Second place was a tie between Team Korea and Team Philippines with five points.

Soon, they advanced to Game 4, the Sack Toss. Eddie, Justin, and Amotti participated in the game. They were supposed to pass the sack within thirty seconds.

After 7 laps, all three participants were going strong. Soon, the weight of the sack was increased. Earlier it was 14 kg, then it was 16 kg. Before the game could be completed, the episode ended.
