"To show my physical prowess once more": Physical: Asia star Kim Dong-hyun expresses excitement about his comeback

Netflix premiered Physical: Asia on October 28, 2025, with the first four episodes. The first episode of the reality show introduced various teams and contestants.

Eight participating teams, including Australia, Thailand, Türkiye, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Philippines, and Indonesia, featured a total of 48 contestants on the show.

One of the participants from Korea was Kim Dong-hyun, the nation's first UFC fighter. In his introduction, Physical: Asia star noted that among his 28 fights, he won 22 of them. Additionally, he also talked about returning to the show and how hard he had trained before that.

"I was in the welterweight division and retired after 28 fights. I won 22 matches and only lost four. In my opinion, if you really wanna prove how strong you are, the UFC's where it's at. It's good to be back. And this season, I'm excited for the opportunity to show my physical prowess once more. I'm ready to jump in," shared Kim Dong-hyun.

The first team to enter the show was Korea. One of the teammates was Kim Dong-hyun, Korea's first UFC fighter. He confessed that it was good to be back. He added that he was excited and ready to showcase his physical powers once more.

While sharing about his achievements and strengths on Physical: Asia, Kim Dong-hyun also reflected on his performance during the previous season. He noted that the elimination was disappointing for him.

"I still dream about it sometimes. It was a real shame. We were close. I still remember the last thing I said: I'm gonna live out the rest of my days with the body I had as the "Stun Gun." That was the promise I made to myself," shared Kim Dong-hyun.

Physical: Asia star shared that since the last season, he had been working and training even harder. After tasting the bitterness of defeat, he made another promise. It was to never taste defeat again.

To keep his promise, he returned to the competition to show:

"I'm here to show you just how terrifying true determination can really be," added Kim Dong-hyun.

As his teammates entered the competition area, they were surprised. One of his teammates was Amotti, a Crossfit lover and winner of Physical: 100 Season 2. He noted that he felt pretty confident returning to the show.

The third teammate from Korea's team was Yun Sung-bin, an Olympic gold medalist and former national team Skeleton racer. Their team also featured Jang Eun-sol, a former wrestler for the national women's team and Choi Seung-Yeon, a Crossfitter.

Physical: Asia participants talked about their strengths and how determined they entering the competition. Before their fellow teams' arrival, they took a look around to see what to expect further.
