Physical: Asia Quest 3: What happened during the Pillar Vaulting test?

One of the four tests featured on Physical: Asia Quest 3 was the Pillar Vaulting test. Two participants from each team were supposed to participate in the test.

Team Korea's Yun Sung-Bin and their team captain, Kim Dong-hyun, arrived in the arena. Team Australia's participating contestants were Dom Tomato, a parkour athlete, and Katelun van Zyl. She was a Crossfitter and Hyrox athlete.

"As soon as they told us what the games were, I knew that I was doing the first challenge. It's jumping over blocks, which is 100% what I train," confessed Dom Tomato.

Team Philippines sent Lara Lorraine Deang Liwanag and Robyn Lauren Brown. In her private confession, Physical: Asia star Robyn shared that as a national team member of the 400-meter hurdles, she was the perfect fit for the task.

"I'm a CrossFitter. I'm the balanced one, and I'm stronger in my stamina, endurance. We know we can do our best in order to maximize our potential and win the game," confessed Lara.

Physical: Asia's Team Korea thought that it would be an easy victory for them. Their team captain, Kim Dong-hyun, shared that if they were to win the Pillar Vaulting test, then their team would surely be safe.

Soon, the Pillar Vaulting task between the teams from the Philippines, Australia, and Korea began. It was the first game of a total of 4 games featured in Quest 3. With a whistle sound, the test started. One participant from each team started to run around their dedicated pillars.

Team Australia's Katelin skipped one move. Hence, she had to go back and jump over the pillar. After each lap, the participant had to press a bell on the wall. There were a total of 20 laps for each team, 10 laps for each participant of the same team.

While the participants were moving around and rushing to get their test done, their teammates cheered for them. The first ones were Katelina, Lara, and Kim Dong-hyun. Team Philippines' Lara confessed to her struggles while jumping the pillars. She noted that her height was an issue during the test.

"When I was jumping off the pillars, it was hard for me because I'm short. I need to exert more effort to jump, but not being negative about anything. Just so we can perform and do our best for the team," she confessed.

All three teams were competing closely, separated by a minor difference in the completed number of laps. As soon as the first contestants finished their 10 laps, the remaining three participants from each team got started. This included Sung Bin, Dom Tomato, and Robyn.

Everyone's eyes were on Physical: Asia's Dom Tomato. As soon as he joined, his moves shocked everyone. They were sleeker, quicker, and smoother.

"Smooth is fast, and fast is smooth. Parkour is about finding the most efficient path. So I knew if I did Kon, step, step, lazy, around, Kong, step, step, lazy, bell, and just hit that rhythm, then it was gonna be faster than any other ahtletes there," confessed Dom.

Team Korea and Team Australia were moving fast. Soon, Robyn also joined after Lara's turn was over, and she was also fast. With a close call, Australia won the Pillar Vaulting challenge. Dom was the first one to finish his 10 laps and picked up the flag.
