Pro Bono Episode 11 recap: Gi-ppeum uncovers the truth about Chairman Yoo's case

After trying to prove David guilty in Pro Bono's previous episode, Gi-ppeum realizes that David is the same judge who decided her family's fate and inspired her to become a lawyer. She reveals this information to him and asks him to tell the truth about Chairman Yoo's case, but David does not reveal anything and asks her to take him to court to find out the truth.

In Episode 11, Gi-ppeum and the pro bono team investigate and find the actual truth that helps bring the truth to light, and also proves that David did not abuse his power. However, while David reunites with his team, their problems are not over yet, as the team gets fired from Oh&Partners, and Myoeng-hun files a defamation case against David for manipulating Jang Hyeon-bae's trial.

Pro Bono Episode 11 recap: Gi-ppeum investigates to find the truth

In the previous episode of Pro Bono, Gi-ppeum opens up about not believing that David would abuse his power as a judge, and wanted to know the truth. However, David did not help her and clouded her judgment about it, forcing her to uncover the truth herself.

While questioning him in Episode 11, she made David confess that he wanted to take revenge on Chairman Yoo, but someone stopped him, and revealed that it was Jae-bum's mother who stopped him from committing a crime and manipulating a trial. This information made Gi-ppeum decide to back out of Jae-beom's case against her team leader, but like her, he also wanted to find out the truth, as he was sure it was David's fault and not his father's.

However, as the pro bono team began to investigate the case and finally met Mi-seon's mother. He was the boy who died in the fire, caught in Chairman Yoo's factory. From her, they learn that the cup noodle photograph that they found suspicious was actually given to David by her, since the police were not including it in the case. They also learn that Chairman Yoo did not treat Mi-seon fairly. He was paid less, and after being accused of stealing, he also had to work for free.

The team collected more information about the factory and called the manager for questioning. Gi-ppeum forced the manager to reveal that the small door from which Mi-seon would have escaped during the fire was closed by him on Chairman Yoo's order, and later resulted in the death of the young boy. With the truth now revealed, the team reunites with David.

Pro Bono Episode 11 recap: Myoeng-hun files a defamation suit against David

While it looked like all the problems of the pro bono team were solved, a new set of issues emerged. The team was fired because they could not prove David was at fault, which Jun-woo had feared from the start. While they are together and jobless, they learn about Myeong-hun filing a 1 billion Won defamation suit against David, claiming that he manipulated his client, Jang Hyeon-bae's trial.

They also learn that Yeong-sil is Hyeon-bae's illegitimate son, who asks the team to do everything to bring his father to justice. In the court, they ask Yeong-sil to question his own father, who also proves that the assault allegations against Hyeon-bae were true.

While at it, David also tries to bring his former boss, who is now a Supreme Court judge, and Dr. Oh from Oh&Partners to court as witnesses in the case. Through this case, he also tries to reveal the corruption that runs deep in institutions that are supposed to protect the law and the citizens of a country.
