What happened in Queen Mantis Episode 2?
In Episode 2 of Queen Mantis, with Yi-shin’s help, the team rounds off their suspect. They learn that the killer knows more about Yi-shin’s MO than the public. They discover that a man named Gu-wan, suffering from schizophrenia, is the copycat killer.
The episode also depicts that Soo-yeol has little trust in Yi-shin helping them, and when he finds the letters addressed to Gu-wan from her, he quickly confronts his mother. However, they later discover that Gu-wan had written those letters himself.
When he is taken to meet Yi-shin, she learns that Gu-wan has not actually killed anyone and is not the copycat killer. However, after he threatens to reveal to the public that Soo-yeol is her son, she tries to strangle him, but is stopped by the police.
After trying to shoot himself, Gu-wan is later declared to be in a coma. Meanwhile, the team then learn that Gu-wan wanted to take over Tae-seok’s life. Soo-yeol theorizes that Gu-wan might have taken Tae-seok to teh hospital where his mother abandoned him.
Just like Yi-shin, Gu-wan wanted to drown his third victim, Tae-seok, whom Na-hee and Soo-yeol find in a washing machine in the laundry of the hospital.
In the next episode of the crime thriller, more secrets will be out as Soo-yeol will learn that Yi-shin might have killed more than the five men.
