Ju Ga-ram returns, and his team wins their first title
In the previous episode of The Wining Try, it was shown that Ga-ram’s surgery had some complications. However, in the end, it was a successful event, but not one that would allow him to attend the rugby finals of his team.
However, Ga-ram still convinces his doctor and attends the match, making his team happy. With Ga-ram’s plan, the team gives their best against their most ferocious rivals, until Hyeong-sik gets injured. While Ga-ram decides that after half-time, six players will finish the match, Hyeong-sik argues with his coach, as this was their first finals in the national championships, and he does not want to miss it.
He asks the doctor to stitch him up without anesthesia, and later joins the game. The end of the game and the last point the team won were iconic, as their profile skyrocketed in just one season, transforming from being the worst to becoming champions. They used the Maul technique, resulting in the whole team contributing to their first national championship title.
I-ji chooses U-jin over her nationals game
In the final episode of The Winning Try, I-ji participates in her last nationals game and is close to winning a medal. Elsewhere, U-jin was also closer to winning her own gold medal, until her coach, Nak-gyeon, was arrested.
It is revealed that U-jin’s mother had reported about Nak-gyeon attacking U-jin, due to which Seong tells him that he is now fired from his position. Initially, he tries to persuade Seong, but later warns him that he would never go down alone. But this leaves U-jin’s participation in jeopardy, as without a licensed coach, she would not be allowed to participate.
Seol-hyun calls I-ji and informs him of the situation. Without thinking twice, I-ji leaves her nationals game to help U-jin out so that she gets to win her gold medal. I-ji becomes U-jin's head coach as she wins her gold medal in the nationals.

On the other hand, Seol-hyun’s father visits the school with inspectors from the Office of Education to rectify the issues that were going wrong at the school.
With evidence provided by Nak-gyeon, which proves Seong’s fraudulent activities regarding the teams' finances. As Seong loses his reputation and his job, Principal Kang returns for two months before her official retirement. Bae I-ji and Ga-ram get to become official coaches for a new season, aiming for another championship title.
At the end, Ung is given a chance to train with the national youth team under Mo Sang-gi, Ga-ram’s former team member. While it looked like an emotional farewell for Seong-jun, Myeong-u, and Yeong-gwang as they were graduating, Ga-ram surprised them with Tae-pung’s return to the school and the rugby team.
Other than Seong-jun and U-jin, Ga-ram and I-ji also promise to be together at the end of The Winning Try finale.
