Queen Mantis follows the story of a female serial killer, Yi-shin, whose MO is being copied by another serial killer 23 years after her killing venture. Her estranged son and his team have been trying to nab the copycat killer with her help. However, with three episodes already released, more secrets have come to light about Yi-shin and the copycat killer.

The 4th episode of Queen Mantis starring Go Hyun-jung will premiere on Saturday, September 13, 2025. For viewers in South Korea, it will be available to watch on SBS TV at 9:50 p.m. KST and later on the streaming platforms KOCOWA and Wavve.

For a global audience, the episode is available at different times due to different time zones, such as it will be released in the US around 11 a.m. Eastern Time and 8 a.m. Pacific Time. It will premiere at around 4 p.m. GMT and 8:20 p.m. IST.

What happened in Episode 3 of Queen Mantis?

In Episode 3, Soo-yeol and his team learned that Gu-wan was not the copycat killer as a new victim emerged. A professor with no criminal record was killed by drowning his body, like Yi-shin’s third victim. Through locating his phone, they discovered another body of a man, suggesting him to be the copycat killer’s first victim.

Furthermore, the location of the victim in a house in a remote village made Soo-yeol go and search his own house, where he lived with his parents. In the well of the abandoned house, he found the remains of his father, who was killed by his mother, Yi-shin.

When he confronted his mother, she told him that his father was drunk that day and was misbehaving with her, and when Soo-yeol tried to intervene, his father started beating him. To save him, she stabbed her husband and killed him. She told Soo-yeol that she does not regret killing her husband.

Elsewhere, Soo-yeol’s wife, Jung-yeon, also starts to suspect that her husband’s mother is still alive. To find out the truth, she decides to visit Soo-yeol’s village, where his mother was buried.

The next episode might look into Soo-yeol’s guilt of not being able to save more people from dying, and the investigation team’s effort to catch the copycat killer.
