The show is revealed to be a contemporary portrait of five women: Marga, a snobbish artist, played by Carmen Machi, Vera, Marga's friend, and a media-loving cook, played by Pilar Castro, Nat, a high-fashion shop assistant, played by Candela Peña, Adela, played by Nathalie Poza, and finally Victoria, a forgotten erotic cinema actress from the 70s, played by Cecilia Roth.

"RAGE is a contemporary portrait around five women: five female characters who lead this surprising, realistic and intense drama. Five women ready to do anything in the face of extreme situations such as extortion, oppression, deceit, exclusion or manipulation in a single shared universe articulated around five conflicts that will develop like a butterfly effect – one as a consequence of the other – and so on to shared catharsis. A kaleidoscopic portrait of the current social moment with high doses of irony and humor."

Rage is a series of 30-minute episodes, the first two of which will premiere on HBO on July 11. After the premiere, episodes will be released weekly every Friday. The official trailer also reveals how the women are connected to each other in one way or another as they live on a desolate property.

Rage is definitely going to be an interesting experience, as the trailer opens with the haunting lines in Spanish:

"We're all going to die. This certainty should help us embrace life"

"Five Crazy Stories About Rage" is how the trailer describes this show, which was created and directed by Félix Sabroso. The five actresses, who are coming together on a screen for the first time, will be joined by Alberto San Juan, Claudia Salas, Mima Riera, Claudia Roset, Ana Torrent, Marilu Marini, Pedro Casablanc, Francesc Garrido, Iván Pellicer, Pepón Nieto, and Martxelo Rubio, among others.

"These five women go to the limit and perpetrate revenge, but not even they are spared in this contemporary satire."

Only time will tell how the story of these five women and their crazy, unprecedented lives unfolds and connects to each other, like the trailer says:

"Hell hath no fury, pain, fear, envy, vengeance like a woman scorned."
