"Really close to us": Sister Wives star Mykelti reacts to seeing the tornadoes while on the road

The latest Sister Wives Season 20 Episode 3 aired on October 12, 2025. It featured Mykelti and her husband, Tony, moving to their new home.

While on the way, they faced bad weather, including a few tornadoes. Along with them, Mykelti's mom, Christine, and her husband, David, were also with them. They were in a different vehicle. The two also faced the extreme weather.

Sharing more about the tornadoes in front of them, Sister Wives star Mykelti confessed that they could see them getting closer. It was a scary situation for all of them.

"We can actually see the tornadoes really close to us, touching down and getting even closer. And it's...it's freaking scary. I mean honestly...I went Mom mode...and I was like...we're all gonna die," shared Mykelti.

Sister Wives Season 20 Episode 3: Christine, Mykelti, and Tony open up about the weather they faced while moving

Sister Wives star Christine's daughter, Mykelti, and her husband, Tony, were moving to their new home. However, while on the way, they faced extreme weather conditions. They were in a car while her mom, Christine, and David were in another car. The latter was driving ahead of the other.

While on the way, David checked his weather app. Sister Wives star Christine noted that there were tornadoes everywhere around them.

"They're getting closer. Everything is getting closer," she confessed.

Tony confessed that it was nerve-wracking. He was worried that they might get stuck in Nebraska for days because of the weather. He recalled how they planned to move in three days.

However, with such bad weather, it could ruin their plan. Soon, it started to rain, and they saw their windows and windshield getting dented.

"It's broken the glass. Oh my God," reacted Mykelti.

They were worried that the weather might end up breaking the glass. She added that they could see the tornadoes touching down and getting closer to them. In that situation, Mykelti went into "Mom" mode, and she thought that they were all going to die.

On the other hand, Sister Wives star Christine shared how she and David felt during the bad weather. He told her that they could pull through. So they should keep going.

"It's terrifying. There's nothing you could do. Nothing. So many helpless situations," confessed Christine.

After seeing some structures on the sides of the road, Mykelti asked Tony whether they should get off the road and get out of their car. Tony responded that he didn't want to be inside the car when the windows were to break.

"Well, I don't want to be in it when this window breaks," he said.

Sister Wives star Mykelti told her mom on the call that they were stopping and getting off the road. At the time, it was 6:45 pm. The tornadoes were expected to pass around 7 o'clock. However, Tony told her that it might not be the case.

"Yeah, I say this is not going to be over soon."

Later in their confession, Mykelti revealed that she didn't know what was going to happen. Soon, they saw a building and decided to go under the structure. Christine and David were also going through the weather while their vehicle was carrying their stuff.
