Rebecca Ferguson's first look in the Peaky Blinders movie has elements of fierceness and edge written all over it. In the film, she is portraying the role of Kaulo- an ally of Tommy Shelby. We are yet to know more about her character.

In fact, it is revealed by Empire Magazine that it was Cillian Murphy who recommended her for the enigmatic role. But Ferguson, who is of Swedish origin, was apprehensive about pulling off the Birmingham way of speaking. As per the outlet, this is what the Dune star said to Murphy about this role:

“‘That ain’t happening. Could she be Swedish?’”
“Basically, I said, ‘I can’t do a fucking Brummie [accent], mate, so what are we going to do about this?’”

But regardless of everything, we do finally see Rebecca Ferguson in a power-packed role in The Immortal Man. Looking at her rich filmography, it is certain that the actor is going to do wonders in the Tommy Shelby world as well.

Apart from this film, she has some exciting projects lined up for release, including Dune: Part Three, Mercy, and The Magic Faraway Tree. Her only release of this year is A House of Dynamite.

Set during the critical wartime period in Britain, the film will explore how Tommy Shelby navigates the world in which he gets pulled back into. We witness how he deals with his moral dilemma and inner conflicts, with his family's future being at stake. Now, Shelby has to choose between either preserving or destroying what he has created.

Its synopsis, as per IMDb, goes as follows:

During World War II, Tommy Shelby returns to a bombed Birmingham and becomes involved in secret wartime missions based on true events, facing new threats as he reckons with his past and rising national stakes.

Steven Knight, who has created the historical crime series, has also written the film as well. In a conversation with Netflix, this is what he said about the film:

“The country is at war, and so, of course, are our Peaky Blinders. It will be an explosive chapter in the Peaky Blinders story. No holds barred. Full-on Peaky Blinders at war.”

Along with Rebecca Ferguson, some of the new cast members include Tim Roth, Barry Keoghan, Jay Lycurgo, and many others.

It is scheduled to arrive at Netflix on March 20, 2026. Before its streaming release, it will have a selective theatrical run on March 6, 2026.
