Harry's time in Patience is about to come to an end as Resident Alien has been canceled after four seasons. The USA and Syfy science fiction comedy series, created by Chris Sheridan, will premiere its series finale on August 8, 2025.
Based on the comic book of the same name, the show follows an extraterrestrial being sent to Earth to wipe out humanity. He kills a vacationing physician, Harry Vanderspeigle, and assumes his identity. However, as time passes, he develops compassion and empathy for humans and starts defending them from other extraterrestrial threats.
While Resident Alien cancellation news was certainly a disappointment for the cast and fans, the crew had already anticipated the end. As revealed by Sheridan, the series finale was written with cancellation in mind and will serve as a natural conclusion for the story.
With only two episodes left to air, cast members Alan Tudyk, Meredith Garretson, Elizabeth Bowen, and Sara Tomko took to their social media and shared their thoughts about the cancellation.
