Here is the complete Revival Season 1 Episode 7 recap.
Revival Season 1 Episode 7 recap: Ibrahim discovers a secret about the Moore Creek water
The previous episodes hinted that Ibrahim had been studying the samples from Moore Creek water after he witnessed a natural growth there. He was convinced that the water had healing powers and could benefit revivers like Em.
After he asked Em to take a sip of the water, and she immediately felt better, he became even more sure about his theory. Without wasting time, Ibrahim took Em to the Moore Creek in Episode 7, where she immediately felt energized. After she submerged herself in water, her wounds started healing magically, and she also remembered bits about her death day.
She remembered seeing Aaron and a mysterious figure in a deer skull, who had probably planned her murder.
Revival Season 1 Episode 7 recap: The mystery of the fateful day
In Revival Episode 7, Dana sat down with her father to piece together Brent's actions, and they realized he was at Randy's crematorium on Revival Day. Dana immediately went to Randy to question him, and he revealed that May Tao was with him on the fateful day, interviewing him at the crematorium.
Brent dropped by with a male dead body and claimed that he had killed himself, and his family wants him to get cremated as soon as possible. While the family had identified the body, he was labelled Jon Doe, and as soon as Randy put the body in the furnace, the corpse revived. Even while the man had suffered severe wounds, he managed to escape.
After talking to Randy, Dana went to May Tao, who revealed that she is working on the Blackdeer case because she believes that her father, Jesse Blackdeer, had not killed Rose and they deserve justice.
May believed that Brent had killed Jesse and had brought his body to Randy as John Doe to get away with the murder. But on Revival Day, May saw Jesse being revived, and she let him escape because she believed in his innocence.
Revival Season 1 Episode 7 recap: Are Jesse and Em's murders connected?
After discussing the events of that fateful day, May finally brought Dana to Jesse's secret hideout, where she was surprised to find Em. Since Jesse believed that his and Em's murders were connected, he followed Em to Moore Creek and brought her with him.
Jesse revealed that he was at this secret hideout to solve the mystery of their murders, and he thinks that they are related to a religious phenomenon. Since both Em and Rose led modern and thus unconventional lifestyles, they were targeted for murder.
While the deer skull can be attributed to religious practices, he is still not sure how Aaron fits into the picture. Since he revealed that he had not killed Em, maybe he was being blackmailed by the actual murderers. The episode ends with lingering questions about Jesse and Em's murder and whether they are connected to the Revival Day.
