The Rick and Morty Season 8 finale: Release and streaming details
Rick and Morty Season 8 Episode 10 (finale), titled Hot Rick, will be released on Adult Swim on July 27, 2025, at 11 pm ET/PT for US fans. The latest episode will be featured on the Adult Swim cable channel and can also be streamed on the channel's official app.
Since the sitcom is available a week after its premiere in the UK, fans (in the UK) will be able to watch the Rick and Morty Season 8 finale on E4 on August 3, 2025, at 9 pm BST.
Episode 10 will feature the much-anticipated finale for Season 8, which will likely feature Rick's backstory, as hinted by the title. Being the concluding episode of Season 8, Episode 10, it can also feature some popular versions of the titular characters, like Memory Rick and Evil Morty.
The short preview for Episode 10 features the Smith family watching Cake or Fake, where Jerry (surprisingly) defends Rick and calls him a loving dad to his family. While this scene looks straight out of an alternate reality, some fans are also speculating that Jerry's unusual love for Rick could also be Memory Rick playing tricks on Jerry's mind.
Rick and Morty Season 8 Episode 9 reunited Morty with his estranged son
The penultimate episode of Rick and Morty Season 8 featured the return of Morty Jr., Morty's estranged son, conceived with a reproductive robot named Gwendoline.
As Morty visits his dying son in the hospital, he wishes to see his mother for one last time, which takes the duo into Rick's garbage portal called Garbtopia. Morty and Junior are escorted by a pizza bot to Gwendoline's resting place, where the father-duo pays their respects.
Just as Morty and Junior are about to leave the portal, a giant robot attacks them. When Morty tries to reconcile with his son in their final moments, he learns that Junior was lying about his death and only wanted this adventure to write a sequel to his best-selling book.
After much mayhem, Junior motivates the robots at Garbtopia to rise together and helps free them from the tyranny of Salvatron. While Morty escapes the garbage portal after reconciling with his son, Junior becomes its leader and initiates work on his second novel.
