Robin Hood Episode 4 recap

Episode 4, titled The Cause of This Unrest, delivered a blend of grief, strategy, and choices with deep consequences. The forest camp remains heavy with guilt nd hunger following Aaron Huntington's death. Little John is shattered after losing his dog, and Robert is battling remorse, unsure whether the young noble deserved such a fate. With the group starving, a desperate plan leads them to stop a wagon from the Abbey. The encounter introduces Friar Tuck, a Norman who refuses to return to the Bishop out of fear of abuse.

His honest rage exposes the corruption behind the holy authority, and his speech forces Robert to realize that the poor Normans are oppressed. Tuck chooses to stay with Robert and his outlaw band.

The outlaw band grows again when two thieves, Spragart and Mary, join forces, shifting groups from fugitives to an emerging insurgent unit. Meanwhile, in Nottingham, pressure climbs. The Sheriffs and Bishop discuss plans to capture Robert. They decide to raise the bounty amount. With no financial help from the King, they divide the bounty amount between the Church and Nottingham.

Friar Tuck reveals the money transfer, and a high-stakes plan unfolds, to steal the bounty amount from the Bishop. The ambush, however, is bloodier than expected. More guards arrive than anticipated, leading to the death of Henry Miller and Mary. Robert fights harder, and they become successful in looting it. The final twist lands when Robin lets the Bishop walk free, sending a message bigger than death. Robert and his outlaw band seek justice, and no one can come between their goals.

What to expect in Robin Hood Episode 5?

Episode 5 will raise the emotional stakes on both fronts, Sherwood and Westminster. The synopsis confirms that the Millers are captured, forcing Robin into his most personal mission yet. With the bounty money stolen, the Sheriff will surely be infuriated, and this wrath could shape his next plans.

Back at the court, the narrative tightens around Marian. Her political lessons with Queen Eleanor might face interruption when she receives the news of her brother's death. This might also ignite a future collision between duty and heart.
