Seducing Drake Palma cast revealed: Who’s playing who in the much-awaited Filipino drama

Fans are buzzing with excitement to watch Seducing Drake Palma, featuring Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji in the titular roles. What's even more exciting about this TV series is that it's almost like a mini-reunion for fans of Ang Mutya ng Section E.

While it brings familiar faces to the screen, these characters are brand new, giving audiences a mix of nostalgia and anticipation. Viva One has revealed a full trailer of Seducing Drake Palma, followed by the confirmation of the main cast.

The Wattpad novel is penned by Ariesa Jane Domingo, known by her username @beeyotch. The story has garnered significant attention for its engaging plot and relatable characters, leading to its publication in print and an upcoming television adaptation.

As seen in the trailer, it centers around Alys Perez, a senior high school student who's secretly in love with her best friend, Sheen. However, he's already in a relationship, which is ruined when a new transferee, Drake Palma, steps in.

Alys then devises a scheme to seduce Drake in an effort to distract Kei and help Sheen win her back. Alys sets out on this mission despite her inexperience in seduction, which leads to a series of humorous and heartfelt events.

Since it was confirmed that Rabin Angeles would play Drake Palma in the TV series adaptation, fans couldn't stop speculating about the female lead. Recently, Viva One has confirmed all main cast and characters, and here's the list for you to explore:

1) Rabin Angeles is Drake Palma

Rabin Angeles has become one of the Philippines' most adored young actors, who recently played the second lead, Yuri, in Ang Mutya ng Section E. Angeles has now secured the leading role of Drake Palma, the new student who quickly gained popularity for his cold and mysterious personality.

While talking about this new role, Rabin Angeles said:

"You will see a different Rabin here... Drake Palma has a deep personality even if he doesn’t have too many speaking lines."

Angeles also mentioned that he typically gets many lines to speak in projects, but in Seducing Drake Palma, it's the eyes that should speak the most. While Drake doesn't speak much, Alys is someone who barely keeps her mouth shut.

2) Angela Muji is Alys Perez

Angela Muji, known for playing the adorable Rakki from Section B in Ang Mutya ng Section E, has helmed the role of Alys Perez in Seducing Drake Palma. Unlike Drake, she's clumsy and outspoken and deeply loves her best friend, but never got the chance to confess her feelings.

She spends time healing him, and this is when Sheen asks Alys to start seducing Drake Palma so that his ex-girlfriend stays away from him. Since Alys loves Sheen, she decided to help him, setting out on a mission to seduce Drake Palma and pretend to be his girlfriend.

3) Ethan David is Sheen Mendoza

Ethan David, who plays Calix in Ang Mutya ng Section E, is portraying Sheen Mendoza in Seducing Drake Palma. Sheen is unaware of Alys' feelings and asks her to help him win back his girlfriend, who now seems interested in Drake.

As seen in the trailer, Sheen is an emotional character who has one goal: to get back Kei. However, he's also unaware of the drama that's about to unfold when Alys' mission begins.

Rafa Victoria is once again playing the love interest of a character played by Ethan David, as she played Mica in Ang Mutya ng Section E, in which she and Calix are a couple. However, things are different in the upcoming series as Kei will leave Sheen heartbroken after finding interest in Drake.

The trailer shows her asking Drake out, but he's already in love with someone else. This reduces Kei's chance to get close to Drake, which will undoubtedly hurt her the same way Sheen was hurt.

5) Dylan Menor is Tripp Palma

Dylan Menor, known for his attractive physique and looks, will appear as Drake's cousin, Tripp Palma. As seen in the trailer, Tripp is a skilled photographer who enters the picture when his uncle calls him for help.

As he observes Alys, Tripp gradually falls for her, and there might be a love triangle in Seducing Drake Palma. In the novel's sequel, he's one of the main figures in Alys' life.

6) Sara Joe is Shaira Silos

When we say Sara Joe, fans would immediately remember her as the "Queen Bee" of Section A in Ang Mutya ng Section E, as this young actress appears as Freya. And in this upcoming drama, Joe has secured the role of Shaira Silos.

In the novel, Shaira Silos is a character that is introduced later in the story. She's a former schoolmate of Drake Palma and Sheen Mendoza from their elementary days at Brent Academy.

Shaira shows her classic unrelenting love for Drake, whom she refers to as her "husband", despite Drake's indifference towards her. She even fakes an injury to grab Drake's attention and asks him to "carry" her to the clinic.

Not only this, she even bought a condo next to Drake to keep tabs on him. So, Shaira is going to be an incredibly dramatic and a bit obsessive character in Seducing Drake Palma.

7) Frost Sandoval is Kent Valdez
