With Dexter: Resurrection premiering on July 11, 2025, the fan-favorite serial killer, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), who hunts other killers, is brought back to our screens. The follow-up series picks up from where it left off in New Blood, when Deter was shot by his son, Harrison.

He now finds himself out of a coma and follows his son to New York to make things right. However, it isn’t going to be as easy as it sounds, as problems and his past are catching up to him this time. In a recent Comic-Con interview, the cast of Dexter: Resurrection spilled details about the latest episode that was filled with serial killers, with a party being held for them by Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage).

From the Gemini Killer to Lady Vengeance and even Dexter, everyone was present at the party.

More on this in our story.

Dexter: Resurrection cast who play serial killers comment on their characters

In the latest episode of Dexter: Resurrection, Dexter finds himself bonding with other serial killers at a party hosted by venture capitalist, Leon Prater. While talking to the Comic Con Variety Studio, Michael C. Hall shared:

"It creates a situation where there are these seemingly oppositional things going on. He is in a situation where he is with like-minded people with whom he can connect in a substantive way, in ways that he can’t with other people."

He continued:

"He’s also confronted with a buffet of worthy victims. So he simultaneously wants to connect with and kill these people."

He also talked about the fictional world meeting the real world in the new Dexter: Resurrection episode, which displayed artifacts and trophies of real and fictional serial killers. He stated:

"I love [how] the real and fictional fantasy world of Dexter intersect in that room. There’s John Wayne Gacy’s clown suit and Jeffrey Dahmer’s refrigerator, but there were also artifacts from kills that Dexter executed in the fictional world in this same space. I like that they’re all kind of swirling around in the same world in that vault."

Not just Hall but other serial killers, such as Lady Vengeance, played by Krysten Ritter in the episode, who got closer to Dexter due to their similar drive to kill, revealed some thoughts about her character and stated:

"She’s immediately intrigued, interested, distrusting, but wants to know more. And she is very forward with him. She grabs a hold of him, and she’s not gonna let go until she’s done playing."

Both hunt down other criminals as Dexter kills other serial killers and Lady Vengeance hunts sexual predators, giving them both a reason to bond in the episode.

Aside from Ritter, David Dastmalchian, who plays the Gemini Killer, teased about his character and said:

"I assumed serial killer because I do have a certain, um, thing on my resume that seems to scream this guy can kill people."

He surely is right in saying that this is not his first role as a serial killer, as Dastmalchian was previously seen as Albert DeSalvo in the historical crime drama, Boston Strangler, starring Keira Knightley.
