Just hours after creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone signed a new five-year mega deal with Paramount Global, South Park Season 27 came swinging. The premiere, titled Sermon on the Mount, aired on July 23, 2025, and wasted no time in mocking Donald Trump with brutal satire.

From sleepovers with Satan to lawsuits against the entire town, the episode made it clear: South Park will always be loud, unapologetic, and deeply absurd.

South Park Season 27 Episode 1- Trump, Satan and a $5 billion lawsuit

In true South Park fashion, the episode pulls no punches. After a chaotic series of events in the town, the action cuts to the Oval Office, where we see a buffonish Trump issuing orders and arrests, and threatening lawsuits. In this episode of South Park Season 27, he also clashes with the Canadian Prime Minister over tariffs.

But the most unhinged scene arrives moments later, when Trump crawls into bed with Satan. In a wildly graphic metaphor for unchecked power and ego, he first meets the Devil begging for intimacy. However, Satan isn't having it. Undeterred as Trump pulls back the covers, Satan makes fun of the size of his private parts.

He later threatens to sue the town for $5 billion. People respond with panic and defiance over being forced to deliver pro-Trump messaging and pay millions in damages.

Meanwhile, Cartman isn't too elated with the cancellation of the liberal radio show either, as he puts.

"The government can't cancel the show. I mean what show are they going to cancel next?"

The most jarring moment comes when Satan directly confronts Trump about rumours tying him to Jeffrey Epstein, paralleling Trump's real-world lawsuit against Dow Jones and Rupert Murdoch for suggesting the same. The satire is brutal and brash. Fans took to social media and jokingly remarked,

While another commented,

"South Park opened Season 27 with Donald Trump in bed with Satan a wild, symbolic jab at power and moral decay. Classic bold satire meant to shock and make you think. wrote @worldview08"

A massive deal and zero chill

The timing of this episode of South Park Season 27 couldn't have been more critical. Earlier, the creators signed a new five-year deal with Paramount Global via their company Park County. The agreement includes 50 new episodes (26 seasons)and secures South Park on both Comedy Central and Paramount+.

The deal, reportedly worth $1.5 billion, comes as Paramount faces backlash for cancelling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Though both creators have previously expressed fatigue with political storylines-especially those involving Trump- they haven't ruled them out. The opening salvo of South Park Season 27 suggests that, tired or not, they have plenty to say.
