When fans visit Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, they step into the immersive world of Batuu, at the edge of the galaxy. One of the things that makes it so special is the look and the backstory that support the world.

With this park, guests have the opportunity to actually live their Star Wars story. Recently, one of the visitors made an interesting discovery in Savi's Workshop, the place where guests made custom lightsabers. Other fans have been excited and speculating ever since.

During the visit, a fan spotted a crate with the face of a Nightsister (a member of the mystical clan from Dathomir that is known for its dark Force powers). The crate had a few communications in Aurebesh (the Star Wars alphabet) that ominously read, "Dead Inside," "Do Not Disturb," and "Dathomir."

When asked, one of the employees, known as a Gatherer, cryptically stated that the crate sometimes moves by itself, suggesting that its contents might not be completely dead. More than just a decorative touch, this understated addition to Galaxy's Edge may hint at events in the next season of Ahsoka.

The existence of a Nightsister relic points to a closer relationship between the park's history and the series' developing plot.

Ahsoka Season 1 expanded the Star Wars mythos with the return of the Nightsisters. They are powerful Force users with necromantic abilities, and they helped Grand Admiral Thrawn return from his exile.

The Nightsisters helped bring dead soldiers back to life, forming an army of Night Troopers that posed a new threat to the galaxy. The crate featured in Galaxy's Edge, which is tied to the Nightsisters, aligns with the story arc of Ahsoka Season 2.

It will explore the Nightsisters' lore and the Force, allowing fans to explore more of the Nightsisters' history and implications. This thematic connection between the park and the show adds an exciting layer of engagement to the experience of guests in the park and viewers at home.

Galaxy’s Edge is bridging the gap between story and experience for Star Wars fans

Galaxy's Edge was originally designed to really put visitors in the period between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. This meant guests would be in the Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu, taking a pic with Rey, Kylo Ren, and Chewbacca.

But in recent years, Disney has loosened up on the timeline in the park. New characters from other time zones in the Star Wars universe, like Din Djarin and Grogu, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, and even Ahsoka Tano, have also made their way to Galaxy's Edge.

To resolve conflicts of characters from different time zones, they appear in neutral zones. Disney proved its commitment to enhancing the immersive experience for guests, with a larger cross-section of the vast galaxy, all while keeping continuity in one of the most convoluted timelines in history.

The inclusion of the Nightsister crate signifies a deliberate effort to synchronize the park's environment with current and forthcoming storylines. By embedding such Easter eggs, Disney not only enriches the visitor experience but also fosters a deeper connection between the audience and narratives of the Star Wars saga.

As for the release of Ahsoka Season 2, it will come out sometime in 2026, as filming began this year. The new season will have a total of eight episodes, coming straight from the original creator of the show.

While each key character will return in this acclaimed Star Wars TV series, fans won't see Ray Stevenson playing Baylan Skoll, but Rory McCann. This casting change was followed by the unfortunate passing of the talented actor in 2023.
