Station 19, one of the more successful spin-offs from Grey's Anatomy, was canceled after its seventh season, only a year ago, with its final episode premiering on ABC on May 30, 2024. Even though the procedural drama has a long-standing loyal fanbase, ABC announced in December 2023 that the show would conclude its run with a final season of ten episodes (the shortest run for the procedural).

While we're not getting a new episode from Station 19 anytime soon, the firefighting procedural has found a home in streaming networks. According to the latest episodes, the procedural will be available to stream on a brand-new platform.

News of the cancelation of Station 19 came as a complete shock to fans of the procedural. It even led them to take to their socials to express just how disappointed they were with this news, but soon enough, May 2024 rolled around, and Season 7 Episode 10 waved a tearful goodbye to fans.

While all seven seasons of the firefighter procedural are available to watch on Hulu in the United States, the international streaming situation is a bit more complex. Not unlike Grey's Anatomy, Station 19 has a huge global audience who are looking forward to streaming their favorite shows.

"A group of heroic Seattle firefighters risk their lives and hearts both in the line of duty and off the clock."

Such is the case for the United Kingdom as well, as the ABC show finds a new streaming home. According to recent reports, the first season of the Grey's Anatomy spin-off will be available to stream on ITVX from September 10.

This action is part of a new Disney+ initiative where the first seasons of some of its most popular shows are made available in international streaming networks to give the viewers a taste of those shows and convince them to watch the rest of the series on the original website, thereby garnering viewership and audience subscriptions for both the involved parties. This initiative is being referred to as "Taste of Disney+."

Therefore, a year after the 2023 cancelation of Station 19, the firefighting procedural will now be available to stream on IXTV for viewers in the United Kingdom.

The "Taste of Disney+" is growing into a common trend these days, as giant streaming networks such as Netflix enter a partnership with networks such as AMC to curate and display a specific AMC Collection banner on their application. The banner offers the first couple of seasons of originals from the network. The effort helps in strengthening the AMC platform by leading its viewers to the AMC network for later seasons, while increasing its viewership at the same time.
