The final showdown to save Hawkins and those children in Stranger Things is this close. Recently, we got to see Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), who can go toe-to-toe with Vecna, just like Eleven. Well, he's actually taller than her.
But they also know that who they are against doesn't simply hold some twisted supernatural powers. He's actually got intelligence in him. And all the while they are preparing to execute their plan, he might've been waiting to reveal his biggest weapon. The thing is, I feel that weapon is actually one of them.
I am talking about the one character that Eleven's dad, Jim Hopper (David Harbour), hates the most, Eight, aka Kali Prasad, portrayed by Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen. She's always been portrayed as someone we can't really trust because she would do anything to gain her sister's trust, or, should we say, Vecna's.
Read on to know how this can be possible.

Vecna might be manipulating Eight in Stranger Things

This could very well be a part of his master plan, because he knows that Eleven will listen to her sister because they share the same trauma. Everything that we have seen in the show, Vecna was revealed to be the one pulling all the strings behind all of it. The Mind Flayer, the Creature, all of it to get to Eleven.
Now, it seems like Eight has convinced Eleven to end all of it for good. In the latest episode of Stranger Things, she told her that Eleven's blood can be used to create more like her, kids with supernatural powers. Just that they can be used for evil purposes. So, both of them should sacrifice themselves by staying in the wormhole after killing Vecna to put an end to it.
Eleven is adamant on banishing all of this so everyone can be saved. This belief of hers makes it easier for Vecna to pull her into the storm and "sacrifice" them both. Because, obviously, Eight won't be of any use for him to save.
And how is he going to do that? I think he is using Eight for that. Controlling her mind and telling things through her. Once Eleven is out of the game, what or who is there to stop him from bringing about the vision he showed to Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) in Stranger Things to reality?
Eight's concern about the future makes this all the more convincing
If you remember Jane's sister's introduction, she was adamant about killing everyone who hurt them and their Mama (Aimee Mullins). She and Jane go on a killing spree with some funky friends, but this is where this sister union ends.
After that, we see Linnea's character popping up in the latest season of Stranger Things, tied up to a machine by the military, currently led by Linda Hamilton's Dr. Kay.
Now, given Eight's personality, it would make more sense to wipe these military people in the show out of existence. Sacrifice isn't her style. From what we have seen, her character is a will to live. And now that she has a chance to do that with her sister, why can't she do that? Things don’t add up here. She’s doing some strange thing, it seems.
Well, there's something vine-y about that. We'll find that out in Stranger Things' grand finale dropping on December 31, 2025.
