Suits LA Episode 13 ending explained: How was Ted’s father responsible for Eddie’s death?

Suits LA Episode 13 once again delved into flashbacks to reveal how Eddie died. Ted and Eddie’s father, Edward, wanted to go out to dinner with his sons a day before he was set to begin his prison sentence.

However, at the last moment, he told Ted that he needed to discuss some important things with him, which could not be discussed in front of Eddie, and hence, they should leave his brother at home. Ted reluctantly agreed, ensuring Eddie that he would call to check up on him.

During the dinner, the father and son’s conversation went well, and Ted forgot to call Eddie. Meanwhile, Kevin called and warned him to leave the apartment immediately, having learned that mob boss Pellegrini’s men were coming after him.

Ted ran home from the restaurant, and Kevin also rushed on learning that Eddie was alone in the apartment. But before the two could save him, a blast happened at the place, killing the poor soul. While Kevin missed Eddie’s funeral to beat the man responsible for his death, Edward missed it out of guilt.

When Ted confronted his father, he revealed that he had a hint that the mob boss was going to target him, and that is why he took him out to dinner and made Eddie a scapegoat. Ted was left disgusted and cut all ties with his father.

At the end of the episode, Stuart and Kevin honored Eddie’s memory by using Edward's estate money to renovate a theme park and rename it after Eddie. Stuart ultimately offered Ted to merge their law firms once again, leading to a heartfelt reunion between the two friends.

Ted and Samantha collaborated to take down Avery Jeffers, a Hollywood producer who was walking free despite several assault complaints against him. Even Rosalyn used to work with him, and during the time, Jeffers sexually assaulted her.

While most of the complainants backed out, fearing Jeffers’ powers, Rosalyn decided to stand up to him on Ted’s persuasion. Ted and Samantha tried to file a class action suit against the producer, but realized that they could not do so without a little arm-twisting.

That is why Ted chose to contact Elizabeth, the prosecutor in Lester’s case, and went against Amanda’s wishes. Elizabeth was apprehensive about helping Ted, but decided to work with him, considering the sensitivity of the case.

Ted, Samantha, Elizabeth, and Rosalyn then forced Jeffers to plead guilty on one count of sexual assault and resign from his office. They could not send him behind bars, but were able to take away his powers. Ted then had one-on-one conversations with Amanda and Samantha, which hinted at a love triangle between the three.
