The Summer House season 9 reunion kicked off on Wednesday, May 28, with a highly anticipated episode that addressed major relationship fallout among the cast. The Bravo reality show, now wrapping up its ninth season, focused on cast member Paige DeSorbo as she discussed her late 2024 breakup with Southern Charm star Craig Conover.

During the reunion, moderated by host Andy Cohen, Paige confronted Craig’s public narrative and claimed he never purchased an engagement ring, despite his previous statements. Meanwhile, West Wilson opened up about the collapse of his 2023 romance with Ciara Miller, revealing emotional miscommunication and regret.

Throughout the episode, tensions remained high as cast members revisited conflicts, accusations, and moments of vulnerability that defined the season. Summer House continues to dig deep into personal relationships, and this episode delivered detailed revelations from Paige, West, Ciara, and others.

What happened in the Summer House reunion part 1?

During the May 28 Summer House reunion episode, Paige DeSorbo told Andy Cohen that her breakup with Craig Conover was not a sudden decision but rather the result of repeated discussions over a year.

“Craig and I have had this conversation for a year,” she said. “It’s not like one day I just woke up and was like, I think I’ll be single tonight.”

Paige revealed they had previously broken up in February 2024 for an entire weekend before deciding to reconcile. She added that they “had these conversations over and over and over,” contradicting Craig’s earlier claims that the breakup surprised him. When asked by Cohen about her reaction to the public response, Paige said:

“I tried everything in my power to not have a breakup where it was like team me or team him. But he wasn't going to let me go easy.”

Paige clarified that there was no coordinated plan for how they would announce their breakup. She explained to Cohen on the Summer House reunion that they hadn’t discussed any details ahead of time, adding that she chose to share her statement on her podcast after noticing he appeared to be on vacation and acting single.

Describing Craig’s post-breakup behavior, Paige said that after Christmas 2024, he went on a trip to Aspen where he was “out at bars” with “girls around.” She noted that photos surfaced online, prompting her to control the narrative herself.

“I was like, I’m not going to respond to that. I’d rather be the one to say we broke up,” she said.

Andy Cohen addressed Craig’s previous appearance on Watch What Happens Live, during which Craig claimed to have returned the engagement ring the same day. Paige reacted by saying:

“How convenient. The day he's on Watch What Happens, him and his new girlfriend went and returned my ring? I don’t think so, Andy. That’s insane.”

She firmly denied that any ring had ever been purchased.

“That ring does not exist,” she said, adding, “A custom ring, no one's letting you return it a year later.”

She also confirmed that Craig never asked her father for permission to propose. While Paige was in the spotlight, the Summer House episode also turned to West Wilson and Ciara Miller. The two had a brief romance during the summer of 2023 that ended by the year’s close.

On May 28, West acknowledged that he mishandled their breakup and lacked emotional presence when Ciara needed support. He told Ciara:

“I just wasn’t there” and added, “I thought us ending in that moment would’ve at least salvaged a friendship but obviously I f***ed that up as well. I’ll apologize again. I never wanted to hurt your feelings.”

Ciara disclosed that her emotional state during December 2023 was tied to her mother’s remarriage, a situation that triggered long-held feelings about her family. “He wasn’t there for me,” she told the group, explaining that she left for Costa Rica and turned off her phone for two weeks to escape the holidays.

She admitted she had been struggling internally, saying she tried to express it but held back out of fear of being a burden. She recalled feeling like she was spiraling, simply trying to make it through the month of December.

Elsewhere in the Summer House reunion, Imrul Hassan addressed the controversy around his “orgy beast” nickname. “I don’t feel like I’m an orgy beast,” he told Andy Cohen.

“I think you have to do more than one [sex party] to be an orgy beast. I’m more of an orgy novice.”

Imrul shared that the nickname had real-life consequences, including a moment when it created tension at his nephew’s birthday party. He explained that his sister-in-law’s religious family objected to inviting someone with the label 'orgy beast,' which made him realize the impact it was having on his personal life.

Summer House reunion part 2 will air on Wednesday, June 4, on Bravo.
