Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester

Padalecki plays the 26-year-old Sam Winchester in Season 1, Episode 2. In the pilot episode, we learn that Sam didn't have good relations with his family, and he left home to pursue higher studies at Stanford University. As a result, his relationship with his brother Dean also suffered.

However, things took an ugly turn for Sam. Sam's girlfriend Jess was killed the same way his mother was killed two decades ago. With their father still missing, the Winchester brothers set out on a mission to find their father. They followed his message of coordinates, which directed them to a place in Colorado.

Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester

Ackles plays Dean Winchester in Season 1, Episode 2 'Wendigo.' Even though Sam did not keep any relation with his family, Dean stayed with his father, John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). John trained Dean, who was too naive to understand that he was marked.

So before John went missing, he left some coordinates for Dean to figure out. So the Winchester brothers waste no time and get on the Impala and drive to Colorado. Dean seems pretty rigid in his emotions.

Supernatural Season 1 Episode 2 plot and where to watch

Episode 2 of Season 1, titled Wendigo is one of the earliest adventures of the Winchester brothers. It begins with Sam and Dean travelling to Colorado (as per their father's message) on their Impala. On their way, they meet Haley Collins, whose brother Tommy went missing during a camping trip.

Sam and Dean pose as rangers to help Haley find her brother, and soon they find out that it is not as easy as it seems. Turns out, the area is haunted by a Wendigo, a monster who kills at night. After their quick research and with a little help from a past survivor, Dean, Sam, and Haley venture into the woods to find Tommy.
