As Tastefully Yours enters its second-to-last week, the story starts peeling back its emotional layers, and for Beom-woo, that means things are only getting more complicated. It all started with Beom-woo and his brother's quest to bring the Diamant stars, as whoever gets them first will be awarded as the owner of their giant conglomerate.
So, to leave no stone unturned, Beom-woo once again used his trick of owning recipes from different chefs. He had a habit of stealing recipes by shutting down the restaurant, and the same was the plan with Yeon-joo's Jungjae.
However, things took a different turn in the K-drama rom-com as Yeon-joo's passion and sincerity changed Beom-woo's heart, and he ended up falling in love with the chef and abandoning his initial plan. But he couldn't explain this to Yeon-joo in Tastefully Yours Episode 8, and now they are both heartbroken.
The episode kicks off with Young-hye finally making a dish for the Diamant inspectors from Yeon-joo's Jungjae recipes. The chef from Motto is watching every move like a hawk, determined to beat La Lecel to the coveted three stars.
Beom-woo learned the truth, but it was already too late, as the dishes were presented and the inspectors had tried them. When confronted, Young-hye tells Beom-woo to come back to Motto as soon as possible, as he's the director who needs to hold back the grip of the restaurant.

Tastefully Yours Episode 8 recap: Yeon-joo and her team head out for a much-needed vacation
At Jungjae, Myeong-suk taunts Chun-seung for not showing up at the restaurant on time. The two end up in an argument, and Myeong-suk couldn't stop herself from beating Chun-seung.
Yeon-joo then advises him to apologize to Myeong-suk for his absence. He then tells her that Yu-jin and Beom-woo's ex-girlfriend (Chef Young-hye) locked him up when no one was around.
Later in the Tastefully Yours Episode, Beom-woo brings back Yeon-joo's recipe book, but she catches him in the kitchen. However, she was told that Beom-woo is sick, so Yeon-joo gave him a freshly made porridge, thinking he was unwell.
The next morning, the Jungjae staff is super excited for a vacation. At first, Beom-woo poked fun at Myeong-suk and Chun-seung for taking TPO seriously for the outing. But the moment he saw Yeon-joo all dressed up and confidently saying, TPO matters, he was completely taken aback.
When they finally arrive, the trio is stunned to find out that Yeon-joo chose a temple for their vacation. Myeong-suk, who had been dreaming of a resort with a swimming pool, is especially thrown off as this peaceful retreat is not what she had in mind.
However, the place is special to Yeon-joo as this is where she grew up. As seen in the previous episode, Yeon-joo revealed being an orphan, and the temple is her home where she was loved and raised.

The arsonist's identity is revealed in Tastefully Yours Episode 8
As seen in Tastefully Yours Episode 3, Jungjae was set on fire by an unidentified man. Turned out it was the man who was seen protesting outside Hansang, seeking justice for his restaurant. He left his lighter at the table, the same one that was found during the incident.
Beom-woo finds the man and confronts him as he took over the restaurant legally and paid him a good amount. The restaurant chef accuses Beom-woo of fooling him and asks him if the Jungjae chef knows he's planning to prey on that restaurant.
Beom-woo warns him that if he's seen near Jungjae, he will be reported for arson. The Hansang heir is then called by his mother tells him to get things wrapped up soon at Jungjae and return to his restaurant. Little does she know that he's not the same Beom-woo who used to steal recipes for his benefit.
Motto earns its three stars, but Yeon-joo pays the emotional price
As Tastefully Yours Episode 8 nears its end, Chef Young-hye and the entire kitchen staff at Motto are eagerly awaiting the results from the Diamant inspectors. Yu-jin had kept his cell phone on the table, hoping to receive a call, and he finally got one.
Meanwhile, Seon-woo is also curious to know if Motto did it. His manager informs that Diamant has finally awarded the three stars to the only restaurant in Korea, which is none other than Han Beom-woo's Motto.
While Beom-woo is unaware, Seon-woo is fuming with rage, as he believes Beom-woo deceived him after sending a text that he no longer wants Hansang and Motto. Seon-woo shows up at Jungjae, just when Beom-woo was about the tell everything to Yeon-joo.
However, things didn't go as planned as Seon-woo exposed Beom-woo's initial plan, which broke Yeon-joo. Not only this, he also informs that Motto has won three stars using Yeon-joo's recipe.
Yeon-joo is heartbroken to learn the truth and asks Beom-woo to get out. With this, Tastefully Yours Episode 8 came to an end, hinting at dramatic finale episodes.
