Channel 4 released a video clip featuring one of the Married at First Sight UK couples, John and Abigail, on October 7, 2025. The two saw each other on the aisle for the first time in the latest episode.
The reality show features experts Mel Schilling, Charlene Douglas, and Paul C Brunson matching potential cast members with their most suitable matches.
One of them was Abigail and John. As the two got married, she was waiting for her mom's "seal of approval" for him. He had a conversation with his mother-in-law, after which she gave her approval.
Reacting to getting her mom's approval, Married at First Sight UK star Abigail said:
"Honestly, that is massive. That is so...yeah."

Married at First Sight UK Season 10's latest episode featured In-Laws week. Cast members went through meeting their in-laws and discussed various things with them.
One of the couples featured on the show was Abigail and John. In his private confession, he talked about Abigail's mom and her importance to her:
"I know that Abi's mum means a lot to her, so I want to really cement that I'm right right person for her daughter. So, there's huge pressure on it."
Later, while talking to Abigail's mom, John asked about her expectations from a son-in-law. She mentioned loyalty and being supportive.
John responded that he felt that he had all those qualities she had mentioned.
"I just want someone to love her as much as we do," added her mom.
She also told John to make her feel secure. Listening to his mother-in-law, Married at First Sight UK star added that he wanted the same for Abigail. He then talked about showing her that she had "absolutely nothing" to worry about.
While talking to John, she also told him that he was, same as Abigail, a "smiley person."
"You are such a smiley person, like Abigail. She smiles all the time when she talks," she added.
Soon, Abigail asked her mom if she had yet given John her "seal of approval." As her mom said yes, Abigail and John were relieved.
Married at First Sight UK star John talked about merely having spent a day together. But he told her that he would show her how much more she could trust him.
"That's what I want to hear," replied Abigail's mom.
In her private confession, Abigail's mom shared that she had seen her daughter "light up." John seemed like a "genuine" and decent person. She felt that the two were a great match.
The Married at First Sight UK episode also featured the wedding ceremony, where Abigail's mom walked her down the aisle. As the two met each other for the first time, John said she looked "absolutely beautiful." She confessed that he was definitely her type and that she felt relaxed.
Seeing everyone getting emotional, John told them that they were going to be fine. As the two talked to each other, Abigail's mom noted that there was "definitely a spark" between the two.
