The Amazing Race Season 38 Episode 4 Recap: Participants make their way through Europe while going through another elimination

The Amazing Race Season 38 Episode 4 aired on October 15, 2025. The latest episode featured the remaining teams traveling through an overnight train.

Soon, the teams reached the first clue, which led them to a Fast Forward. From there, they arrived at a Pit Stop. Some of the teams faced issues while getting a taxi, while some struggled with a dance routine.

Later, the episode ended with Tucker and Eric arriving first, while the team that was eliminated after being the last one was Kat and Alex. The two were sent home packing from the competition.

"Racers travel to illusionist Harry Houdini's birthplace, Budapest, Hungary, where a puzzling Fast Forward puts one team to the test; a horse drawn carriage has teams racing against the clock."

The Amazing Race Season 38 Episode 4 Recap: Teams face a Fast Foward, a Pit Stop, a Road Block, and a Detour challenge

In the latest episode of The Amazing Race Season 38, the remaining teams had to travel through an overnight train. For that, they had two options to choose from. There was a fast train and a direct train.

• Fast Train (7:28 a.m.): Jas and Jag, Natalie and Stephanie, Tucker and Eric, Joseph and Adam, Hannah and Simone, and Izzy and Paige,
• Direct Train (8:30 a.m.): Kyland and Taylor, Jack and Chelsie, Kat and Alex, and Kristine and Rubina.

After the teams reached Budapest, Hungary, they received the first clue. It led them to a thermal bath where they were supposed to look for a king. There were people playing chess in the thermal bath. Soon, participants got the king and advanced to the next clue.

The next clue revealed a Fast Forward. For that, the teams had to complete a Rubik's Cube in 7.5 seconds time in the same attempt. Those who could complete the task had the choice to skip the rest of the tasks for the day and head directly to the Pit Stop. However, they also had a choice. If they didn't want to try it, then they could move forward in the usual way and reach the next step of the leg.

The Amazing Race's Tucker and Eric chose the Fast Forward while the rest of the teams went with the usual choice. While Jas and Jag couldn't find a taxi, the rest of the teams, including Natalie and Stephanie, Joseph and Adam, Izzy and Paige, along with Hannah and Simone, moved forward to the next clue.

Tucker and Eric also got their Fast Forward right after which, they head to the Pit Stop. Soon, Jas and Jag also got a taxi.

Further in The Amazing Race, participants faced a Road Block. They had to guide a horse through the given track. They had to be careful and not hit any cones while completing it under 45 seconds.

Natalie faced issues and got it right during the second attempt. Josep and Adam also lost in the first attempt. Then they had to go to the House of Houdini and find a way to figure out to unlock a box. It would lead them to the next clue.

While the rest of the teams were still working on the Road Block challenge, Natalie and Stephanie unlocked the box and got the clue. It was a Detour. There were two choices: either to juggle five rings or balance a bottle on their head while dancing with a group.

For the Detour, The Amazing Race's Natalie and Stephanie started to learn the dance routine. Soon, Jag and Jas also completed the Road Block. But the rest of the teams were still struggling. Once again, after Jag and Jas couldn't find a taxi, they opted for a train. Izzy and Paige reached the next clue and started learning the dance routine. Kyland and Taylor followed the two.

Soon, Natalie and Stephanie completed the dancing challenge and headed to the next clue, a Pit Stop. Jas and Jag also moved forward with the Detour and chose the dance challenge.

Some of the teams, including Kyland-Taylor and Joseph-Adam, chose the juggling challenge. The Amazing Race stars Hannah and Simone chose the dance challenge while Izzy and Paige moved forward to the Pit Stop. Another team, Jas and Jag, finished their dance challenge on their sixth attempt, while Kat and Alex struggled.

Joseph and Adam couldn't get their dance routine correct, and it took them longer to finish it. Kristine and Rubina were able to get the challenge done in their third attempt.

Kat and Alex were the last team to arrive at the stop:

2. Second: Natalie and Stephanie,
3. Third: Izzy and Paige,
4. Fourth: Kyland and Taylor,
5. Fifth: Jas and Jag,
6. Sixth: Hannah and Simone,
7. Seventh: Joseph and Adam,

9. Ninth: Jack and Chelsie,
10. Last: Kat and Alex.

Tucker and Eric won a trip to Bolivia after arriving first, while Kat and Alex were eliminated from the competition.
