Shudder's found footage horror series The Creep Tapes Season 2 is here, and it's raising the stakes with each episode.

After the gritty premiere, which featured David Dastmalchian as Joseph, Peachfuzz's copycat, this week's episode delves into an eerie case of an amateur cinematographer and a film school graduate, Wes, who gets lured in by Peachfuzz's house-flipping advertisement. What happens next is chaotic, gritty, and thrilling, making this one of the best episodes of the series.

Mark Duplass as Peachfuzz in this episode of The Creep Tapes Season 2 is unpredictable, scary, and manipulative. In this episode, he poses as Trip Engold, a real estate agent. Here's what the synopsis of the episode says,

"Wes takes a job shooting a TV pilot for a house flipping show hosted by a bizzare man."

Let's dig deeper into what happens in The Creep Tapes Season 2 Episode 2.

The Creep Tapes Season 2 Episode 2 recap: Trip Engold aka Peachfuzz attacks Wes

This episode of The Creep Tapes, Season 2, begins with Wes walking up to a cottage where he notices Trip Engold's advertisement for a successful house-flipping project. He rants about how he's drowning in $200,000 in student debt, and he's forced to take up such petty projects. What's more interesting is that he zooms the camera right into Peachfuzz's face in the advertisement and utters out of frustration,

"God, what a f****** loser, kill me."

Wes then takes the stairs and knocks at the door. Engold appears from behind and scares him. He tells him that he's late and that he has already sold the house, but there's another project. Engold eerily praises Wes for his professionalism. Wes informs him that he's carrying his transcript and university degree, to which Engold replies that he has done the background check. Engold babbles about how professionalism is the best quality human beings can possess, and Wes nervously agrees.

Engold continues to play creepy tricks on Wes, and as they drive to their next location, he rants about other house flipping shows. As he discusses the next house they will renovate, he asks Wes to take a look around. Wes finds a shovel and a plastic tarp in the backseat of the car. Engold gives wild excuses, but Wes believes him anyhow. But when he presses him for the address and asks him to pull over, Engold turns aggressive. Wes gets out of the car and tries to run away in the woods.

However, Engold finds Wes hiding behind the tree. He hits Wes with the shovel, who loses consciousness. He wraps him in the plastic trap and tries to put him in the car trunk when two police officers stop him.

The Creep Tapes Season 2 Episode 2 recap: The cops question Trip Engold

The cops order Engold to get down on his knees and ask him to explain what's going on. Engold carefully crafts a story that's obviously fake. He says that the real estate agent they were filming for, he hit Wes and ran away into the woods. Engold further insists that the officers look for him in the woods. When one cop agrees to look into the forests and the surrounding area, he tries to sweet-talk with the other, but the cop does not flinch.

When the other cop returns, and they keep on pressing Engold for answers, Wes gains consciousness. As the cops ask him to describe the attacker, Wes tells them that he's wearing a black outfit and that he's a real estate agent. With Engold right behind Wes's back, it turns even more creepy. However, the cop thinks that the culprit might be the one who ran into the woods, as per Engold's description.

Wes vomits blood and suffers a seizure amid questioning. He needs to be taken to the hospital immediately. The cops call for further help and take Wes to the cop car. They order Engold to follow them with his vehicle. However, Engold steps out and requests one of the cops to get out of the car.

As the cop stupidly follows his order, he takes his shovel and hits him. Before the other cop in the driving seat can process the entire thing, Engold takes a gun from the injured cop and shoots the other cop, too. In the end, he brutally thrashes the cop with the shovel.

In the end, Peachfuzz, aka Trip Engold, kills not one but three people in this episode of The Creep Tapes Season 2.
