Shudder's found footage horror series starring Mark Duplass, The Creep Tapes Season 2, is getting grittier with each episode.In this week's Christmas special, titled Nick, we follow Peachfuzz in his usual element. He disguises himself as a therapist, and his victim is a disturbed man, Nick, played by Timm Sharp. The episode opens with an intruder happily strolling towards Dr. Averson's house and asking whether he's available. Dr. Averson politely declines. He pushes his way into the doctor's house and tells him about a patient, Nick. When Dr. Averson enquires how he knows about his patient's details, the intruder apologizes. In the next moment, the intruder twists the doctor's neck violently. The intruder is none other than Peachfuzz. Just when he's about to take the doctor's glasses, he hears a knock. Turns out, it's Nick Green, the troubled patient who's scheduled an emergency appointment with the doctor earlier.The Creep Tapes Season 2 Episode 5 recap: Peachfuzz poses as Dr. AversonNick shares his problems, and Peachfuzz poses as Dr. Averson. We learn that Nick is going through several difficulties, including financial problems and a nonexistent social life. Peachfuzz advises a new technique to scoop Nick out of depression. Peachfuzz yaps to him about Santa Claus, and somehow relates it to childhood trauma. He creepily, almost forcefully, motivates Nick to believe in Santa. While Nick remains skeptical. It's creepy how he also instills s***idal thoughts in Nick. But Nick somehow feels better, he rushes to the washroom and gets into some cozy Christmas PJs.Peachfuzz mistakenly slips some details about Nick's childhood trauma, how his dad left when he was seven years old. This leaves Nick a bit concerned since he never shared that information. He scares Nick and pushes him to the realization that he was abandoned by his father.Pecahfuzz dresses as Santa Claus and keeps on nagging about Nick's dad. He also shares a little Santa Claus moment from his childhood. But when Nick tries to show him the reality, that Santa Claus was none but his parents, he gets defensive, like a child. He says,"What are you trying to say here? That it wasn't Santa that came into my room, but some random guy. The reason I can't remember it is because what? Cuz he r**** me?"Peachfuzz yells at him, and Nick tries to back down. Nick collapses in the living room. Turns out, Peachfuzz must have drugged the eggnog.The Creep Tapes Season 2 Episode 5 recap: Peachfuzz kills NickWhen Nick comes back to his senses, he sees an overenthusiastic Peachfuzz yelling It's Christmas. He almost forces Nick to watch footage of him pulling out a body from the chimney. Meanwhile, Nick's too drugged to comprehend the situation. He blankly stares at Peachfuzz, who brings him a big present. When Peachfuzz opens it, he finds the head of Nick's dad. It's horrific, and Nick throws the head towards Peachfuzz. As Nick tries to rush out, Peachfuzz eerily follows him and finds him hiding in a dark room.
