The Last Frontier is the latest addition to Apple TV+’s catalog of thriller dramas. Created by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D'Ovidio, the show is set in the wilderness of Alaska, where US Marshal Frank Remnick is the only one in charge of tackling crimes.
While the town remains calm otherwise, a plane carrying prisoners crashes there, which causes chaos as the criminals escape. Frank then has to race against time to catch the prisoners and keep the town safe.

The Last Frontier release schedule: Every episode and when they drop
There are going to be 10 episodes in The Last Frontier. The first two episodes, Blue Skies and Winds of Change, will be released at the same time on Apple TV+ on October 10, 2025, as part of the premiere.
The rest of the eight episodes are going to follow a weekly schedule, with one new chapter coming out every Friday. The finale, Everything Trying, is scheduled to be released on December 5, 2025. Here is the complete release schedule:

The show revolves around Frank Remnick, the lone US marshal taking care of the law and order situation in an Alaskan town. He has to get into action when an airplane crashes in the wilderness, leading to the escape of convicted prisoners.
As the violent criminals threaten to destroy the peace of the town, Frank has to go to extreme lengths to protect his people. Meanwhile, he soon begins to suspect that the airplane crash might not be an accident, but a planned conspiracy. The official synopsis of The Last Frontier reads:
“[The show] follows Frank Remnick, the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska. Remnick’s jurisdiction is turned upside down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates.”
The synopsis further states:
“Tasked with protecting the town he’s vowed to keep safe, he begins to suspect the crash wasn’t an accident, but the first step of a well-crafted plan with far-reaching and devastating implications.”
The series stars Brotherhood actor Jason Clarke as Frank Remnick. The rest of the cast includes Haley Bennett as Sidney, Tait Blum as Luke Remnick, Dominic Cooper as Havlock, Simone Kessell as Sarah Remnick, Alfre Woodard as Bradford, Rusty Schwimmer as Kitty Van Horn, and Dallas Goldtooth as Hutch.
