Paapa Essiedu as George

George is the lead character of The Lazarus Project. Played by Paapa Essiedu, he starts as a computer programmer living a humdrum existence until he discovers that time has been reversed, and he's one of the few individuals in on the secret. George's journey is shaped by private tragedy and impossible choices that come with knowing the future.

His inner conflict leads the way to the rest of the series as he grapples with following orders or making people he cares about happy, no matter what.

Anjli Mohindra as Archie

Archie is a seasoned agent of the Lazarus Project and is George's mentor when he joins the project. Anjli Mohindra introduces us to Archie as extremely capable, level-headed, and emotionally balanced. He discovers George of the gravity of the work being done by the Lazarus Project and becomes his mentor, wrestling with his own moral conflict of rewinding time.

His character plays the pivotal role in the integration of new blood and old veterans in the agency.

Rudi Dharmalingam as Shiv

Shiv, played by Rudi Dharmalingam, is another pivotal agent of the Lazarus Project. He often clashes with George due to his adamant commitment to the mission and in believing in doing what must be done, even when it is not good.

Shiv is a contrast to the emotional decision-making of George and a test case for the psychological toll of constantly living multiple timelines. His character grapples with the cost of loyalty in a mission that erases history.

Caroline Quentin as Wes

Wes is the boss of the Lazarus Project. Played by Caroline Quentin, she gets to make the big calls and is in charge of deciding on whether and when to restart time. Wes exercises authority promptly and has a natural stability, and can control her own personal views in the interests of the greater good.

Her role is the administrative and moral burden of holding time itself, the final say on issues of life and death.

Tom Burke as Rebrov

Rebrov is played by Tom Burke, a former Lazarus agent who has defected against the project. Rebrov believes that the power of the Lazarus Project is being misused and is a leading enemy of the project. His motivations are complex, driven by disillusionment, not greed.

Rebrov is a character to contradict the black-and-white hero/villain for the show and bring tension to the series through his unpredictable nature and philosophical anti-hero ideals.

Vinette Robinson as Janet

Janet is played by Vinette Robinson and appears in Season 2 extensively. She is a scientist affiliated with the Rebrov and the Lazarus Project, and what she's done in the past affects the present timeline. The Janet character is rich in depth as she helps us understand the scientific and emotional aspects of traveling through time.

Her addition brings more background to the Lazarus Project and increases the stakes since her data is the deciding factor behind the team's success or failure.

Charly Clive as Sarah

George's girlfriend is Sarah, played by Charly Clive. Without knowledge of the Lazarus Project or the reset timelines, Sarah is adversely affected by its actions without memory of the altered timelines. She is the love George will lose and provides the personal touch to the larger narrative.

Through her, the series observes how the organization's activities impact ordinary people outside of their immediate community.

Alec Utgoff plays Rudy

Rudy is the technical and intelligence specialist of the team in the Lazarus Project, and he is portrayed by Alec Utgoff. He is crucial in the back end for surveillance, data analysis, and planning missions. Rudy is seldom seen in the field, but his technical knowledge becomes absolutely essential to the mission success of the team.

His character is also tasked with making sure that the technology interface for time alteration is accurate and trustworthy.

Lukas Loughran as Blake

Blake, played by Lukas Loughran, is yet another of the project's operational staff members. Far less prominent than George or Archie, Blake does not appear in many missions at all, but enough insight into the organization's tactical response capability is provided for some assessment.

He symbolizes the broader support machinery that lends feasibility to time-reset operations and some realism to the scope of global operations of the team.

Chris Fulton as Ross

Ross is another supporting agent, and he is played by Chris Fulton. Ross, like Blake, is involved in the undertaking of plans and operations that are organized by the Lazarus Project. His look says a lot regarding the multi-level nature of the company and makes one think of the coordination involved in getting each operation accomplished efficiently.

The supporting actors add depth to the world without obscuring the main story.

The Lazarus Project constructs its story upon the conundrum of safeguarding the world and maintaining individuality. The talented cast, headed by Paapa Essiedu, provides us with a heightened perception of how humans deal with the weight of meddling with time.

From the frontline operatives to the highest authorities, all the characters help drive the show's ultimate question: How far would we go in order to secure the future? With its emphasis on personal choice, conflicting obligation, and choices that cannot be made, The Lazarus Project uses its characters to drive the story as much as test the moral frameworks that collapse when time is not linear.

In this set of characters, the series shows a thoughtful examination of consequence in a world where cause and effect are malleable at will.
