What happened in The Lowdown episode 3: A quick recap

The Lowdown episode 3 takes viewers on Lee's new adventure, this time, accompanied by his daughter, Frances. Unlike typical fathers who might fear taking their teenage girls in a chaotic world, Lee trusts Frances and her quick thinking.

As the quest begins, Lee and Frances face challenges and dangerous figures. This episode marks the third time Lee has been abducted, thanks to his way of never planning things out and doing everything his way.

His mission is to get the rare Jim Thompson books, belived to have crucial information about a family conspiracy. As he tries to find the books, Lee and Frances learn that an antiquarian named Catalina Estragon has already purchased the books.

So now, the mission is to get those books from Catalina, but it's not going to be simple. He disguises himself as a federal agent, and while looking for those books, Lee learns an illegal operation involving caviar is being carried out.

But before Lee could learn more, a ruthless mob boss, Marlon, captured him. To save himself, Lee comes up with a fake story. His storytelling skills become the key to saving him as Marlon starts trusting him, and the two even make a deal.

As for Frances, she found the box containing the rare books, but Catalina didn't let her take the box, and in a surprising turn, she burned them all. However, Frances is Lee's daughter, and she had already retrieved Dale's letters from the books. This way, she ensured that her father's mission wasn't left incomplete.
