What happened in The Nice Guy Episode 1-2?

The first two episodes of The Nice Guy were as chaotic and heartwarming as it was heartbreaking. Episode 1 gave the perfect introduction to all the characters and their lives, with Dong-wook’s Seok-cheol, living the gangster life reluctantly, due to his father. However, his sombre mood changes when he reconnects with his teenage love, Mi-young, again, who is also struggling in her own life and wants to become a singer.

Episode 2 of The Nice Guy delves more into Seok-cheol’s family as we see the Seok siblings reunited after a long time and Seok-cheol trying to mediate between the two parties to avoid violence at all costs. He even becomes a hero for the media when he saves a tenant of District 3 from committing suicide.

It was also revealed how Seok-cheol has a complicated relationship with his father, who takes more loans from Chang-soo, which would result in Seok-cheol living this life of crime for a longer time. He feels betrayed by his father’s attempt to make him live like a criminal, which he doesn’t want to do, and blames him for dragging him into it.

The next two episodes of The Nice Guy will likely reveal more about the father-son relationship and also the growing closeness between Seok-cheol and Mi-young.
