Spy-thriller enthusiasts are eagerly waiting to dive back into the world of The Night Manager Season 2, which is just a few days away. At the heart of the series is a normal-looking man who works night shifts at hotels and hides his military past from many.
And since he's someone who has previously served the country, this man gets pulled into the deadly world of international arms trafficking. The stories follow missions like secret intelligence operations, illegal weapons trading across borders, and people facing ethical issues.
And all of this is going to return with more thrill in The Night Manager Season 2, releasing on January 1, 2026 on BBC One/iPlayer and on January 11, 2026 on Prime Video for international viewers. This means that those watching locally can start their new year with a new chapter of the series.
The new chapter will be years after the fall of Roper. Jonathan Pine (the main character and the manager) is no longer living under his real identity. He now works quietly for British intelligence under the name Alex Goodwin.

What to expect from The Night Manager Season 2?

The story in Season 2 will start after eight long years, which means that it will go beyond the events of John le Carré’s original novel. Jonathan Pine is no longer a night manager and isn't even living under his real name, but someone called Alex Goodwin.
He is a low-ranking MI6 officer in London, overseeing a small and relatively dull surveillance operation. His life then takes another big turn when Pine recognizes someone from Roper's network.
This leads him to a new and powerful enemy: Teddy Dos Santos, a businessman involved in arms trafficking in Colombia. And to get closer to this man, Pine needs to go undercover once again and deal with the dangers in this world.
