Nick Thorburn is the frontman of the rock band Islands and was previously a part of The Unicorns, while Patrick Ford is a composer and music producer.
Song from the Ninth Floor was officially released by Lakeshore Records on September 5, 2025, a day after the show’s premiere. The documentary crew that followed around The Office crew has found a new subject in the spin-off: the Toledo Truth-Teller newspaper. The staff of the Midwestern newspaper is struggling to keep it afloat and hires volunteer reporters to turn its fate around. The official synopsis of the show reads:
