The Rainmaker Season 1 finale ending explained: Rudy convinces Pritcher to take a plea deal
In the previous episode of The Rainmaker, before Prince and Lyman fled, they left Pritcher tied in Prince's basement, whom Rudy finds in the finale episode. He calls Bruiser for help, and they decide to contact Pritcher's lawyer and convince them to accept a plea deal and to reveal everything he did.
Pritcher is brought to the court, and he reveals all the details about the murders that he committed in the hospital, and accepted killing Donnie Ray as well. This was almost going well until Leo decided to cross-question him. Leo brought Pritcher's mom's murder and accused him of killing his own mother.
However, Pritcher denied killing his mother and, in anger, attacked Leo in court.
The Rainmaker Season 1 finale ending explained: Rudy calls Leo to take the stand
In the finale of The Rainmaker, the next is Keeley, who takes the stand. With his questioning, Rudy makes him reveal that he had the codes to the Narpans machine, and he was the one who deleted the data. He admitted that the data was deleted the day after Jackie reported about Pritcher's activities.
However, Sarah saved him by putting Brad under the bus. She suggested that if he had the code, his attorney might also have it. Hence, Brad might be the one who deleted the data.
Bruiser then asks Rudy to rest the case, but Rudy decides to give another shocking twist and calls Leo to take the stand. Leo, in all his arrogance, comes to the stand without realising that if he takes the stand, he won't be able to represent his client anymore. This leaves Sarah to make the closing statements, and she rises to the occasion.
However, the jury is not swayed and favors the victims of the case, and Dot ends up winning a multi-million dollar verdict, resulting in Rudy winning his first case.

Furthermore, even after knowing about everything, Sarah still decides to side with Leo, who has blamed Brad for all of his wrongdoings, which results in the latter being arrested. Furthermore, he gets a shocking surprise when he finds himself in the same cell as Pritcher.
Elsewhere, Deck decides to sit for the bar again. Rudy gives him the coin that his brother had given him for good luck, so that he remains calm and confident and passes the exams.
