On June 11, 2025, Fox Nation announced that "Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints" will make a comeback with eight new episodes in Season 2. The first four episodes are scheduled to drop weekly beginning in November 2025, and the remaining four will arrive in May 2026 during the Christian Holy season.

This two-part release pattern mirrors the first season’s rollout and aims to span key moments in the liturgical calendar.

Martin Scorsese remains the series’ host, narrator, and executive producer

Martin Scorsese will again lead the series, serving as host, narrator, and one of its executive producers. He has described the project as a long-held interest in discovering spiritual lives and said he was happy Season 1 drew adequate interest to permit a follow-up. His participation extends beyond narration; he reviews scripts and collaborates on how each saint’s story is shaped for the screen.

Season One introduced eight different saints to viewers

The Saints Season 1 premiered on November 17, 2024, on Fox Nation and also ran in two parts, with the first batch of episodes released through December 2024 and the second batch in April and May 2025.

Each hour-long episode focused on one figure, such as Joan of Arc, Mary Magdalene, Francis of Assisi, and John the Baptist. The format combined historical context, dramatized reenactments, and Scorsese’s commentary to explore both legendary moments and human details.

Season Two will explore eight new figures from Christian history

The upcoming season will spotlight Saint Lucia, Saint Longinus, Saint Carlo Acutis, Saint Peter, Saint Patrick, Saint Mary the Virgin, Saint Paul, and Saint Thomas Becket.

As before, each episode will run for about an hour and include interviews with scholars, on-location footage, and staged sequences to bring key events to life. The viewers of The Saints can expect a similar structure that balances factual background with storytelling elements.

Multiple production companies are involved in making The Saints

The Saints is developed by Lionsgate Alternative Television in partnership with Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions, LBI Entertainment, and Weimaraner Republic Pictures.

The show was created by Matti Leshem, directed by Elizabeth Chomko in Season 1, and written by Kent Jones alongside other contributors. Executive producers include Scorsese, Leshem, Julie Yorn, Rick Yorn, and Christopher Donnelly, among others.

The Saints viewers can watch the series on Fox Nation’s streaming service

All episodes stream exclusively on Fox Nation, which is available via web browsers and apps for devices such as Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV.

Watching requires a Fox Nation subscription, but there are no additional fees for The Saints beyond the standard plan. The platform hosts other historical documentaries and investigative series alongside this docudrama.

The renewal reflects ongoing interest in character-driven historical series

With Season 2 confirmed, The Saints joins a selection of faith-based storytelling on streaming services that focus on notable individuals from theology. The single-subject format of the series allows each episode to explore a figure’s life in depth, combining narrative elements with informative commentary.

Although no plans have been announced beyond May 2026, the second season will continue to offer a straightforward, fact-centered look at these historic figures.
