"The most stressful part": Dancing With The Stars' Witney Carson opens up about Robert Irwin's rib injury

ABC released Dancing With The Stars Season 34 finale on November 25, 2025. Fan favorite Robert Irwin and Witney Carson, faced a problem during their rehearsals.

Robert injured his ribs while rehearsing for their DWTS finale performances. However, even with the pain, he managed to rehearse and deliver incredible dance results.

In a video featuring Robert and Witney shared on TikTok on November 25, 2025, Witney opened up about his injury. She mentioned that such injuries had been the most stressful part and that it would take some time.

"It's honestly the most stressful part because this is just getting it all together, and it's going to take some time."

Before the finale, Robert injured his ribs while rehearsing. He has been one of the most popular contestants on DWTS. He and Witney had been consistently improving their performances since the show began. They have delivered multiple breathtaking dance routines.

However, the pair hit a major issue after Robert hurt his ribs. In a video update, posted via TikTok, Witney noted that more details would be shared during the finale:

"Robert's ribs have been killing him, and more will be revealed on Tuesday, and you guys can get a better idea of what we've been dealing with all week."

Robert's pro dance partner added that she had to make variations to their finale's freestyle performance. It was for Robert to adjust and not hurt his ribs even more. Witney mentioned that getting it "all together" was the most stressful part.

While sharing the latest update, she also noted that the two of them were sad as the show's finale was near.

The Dancing With The Stars pro dancer got emotional, thinking about the "bittersweet" finale:

"I was so emotional yesterday, I couldn't stop crying. I think for a bunch of different reasons."

Sharing more about the physical toll on her and Robert, Witney noted that both their bodies were "feeling it." He referred to that as both of them falling apart. Witney called the 11 weeks they spent together on DWTS physically and emotionally exhaustive. However, they had been trying to keep it together for two more days until the DWTS finale.

The recently released Dancing With The Stars Season 34 finale saw Robert sharing his injury update:

"I've been dealing with rib pain because the intercostal muscles of the ribs are under a lot of tension."

Robert noted that with the continuous rehearsal it had been getting worse. However, the two delivered fantastic performances throughout various rounds featured in the finale.
