The debate between Team Conrad and Team Jeremiah came to a head in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3's latest episode, which saw Jeremiah and Belly announcing their proposal in front of their family, including her ex-boyfriend Conrad.
While the show's fans are always taking jabs at each other for supporting either Conrad or Jeremiah, Belly's engagement ring (particularly its dainty size) created another heated debate between the fandoms on the Internet.
Team Conrad fired away at the other Fisher brother for the dainty size of the ring and accused him of spending more money on his cheating trips and parties than on Belly's engagement ring. Some even accused him of not being ready for this huge commitment and practically warned Belly to reconsider her decision.
However, keeping this online heat and a flurry of memes aside, Belly's engagement ring in The Summer I Turned Pretty is an actual gem sold by Catbird. The delicate piece is ethically made with solid gold and is currently priced at $298 in the real world.
More on this in our story.
The Summer I Turned Pretty: What is the cost of Belly's engagement ring?

Whether Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah, The Summer I Turned Pretty fandom cannot stop talking about Belly's engagement ring, featured in the latest episode titled Last Supper.
If you are also one of those fans who cannot stop wondering about Belly's engagement ring, we have got you covered. The dainty ring is a real-life gem you can actually purchase, sold by a Brooklyn-founded jewelry brand, Catbird. Belly's The Summer I Turned Pretty ring is the Diamond Fizz Ring from their collection, made with 14K recycled gold and a 3mm, .089-carat recycled white diamond.
Currently priced at $298, Belly's engagement ring might not be an over-the-top piece we are accustomed to seeing on television, but it somehow fits perfectly with the characters' age and aesthetics.
In addition to this ring, Catbird also launched a limited-edition seven-piece collection inspired by Belly's style, which will be featured throughout this season. Complete with dainty rings, bracelets, and necklaces, the special collection is designed by Carol Lim and:
"Evokes nostalgia of summer, first love, and lasting transformation — key themes of the series.''
Belly's engagement ring has The Summer I Turned Pretty fans divided
Belly's engagement ring certainly gave The Summer I Turned Pretty fans a new reason to engage in friendly online banter. While the fans are already divided between Team Conrad and Team Jeremiah, the questionable choice and size of the ring is heating up another debate among the show's fans.
While nobody can deny that the ring is dainty, barely visible on Belly's finger, Reddit users are accusing Jeremiah of spending more money on his cheating Cabo trip than on his engagement ring.
''For everyone upset about pointing out the price of the ring: Jeremiah definitely spent more on the Cabo trip that he cheated with Lacie Barone at. He put more thought into planning that affair than he did the proposal,'' u/swordofBarsoom pointed out a very valid point.
''A cheap ring picked out in one day from a TRUST FUND BABY?? IN COLLEGE? Who cheated on you??? Jeremiah just cleared his checking account and got whatever he could, which is not the habits of someone you should legally tie yourself to. You don’t have to be rich, you just have to be able to make a decent financial decision!'' u/pizzahuthater agreed.
While Belly's engagement ring has sparked a frenzy of memes and hilarious reactions on the Internet, some fans do believe that Jeremiah should be credited for the gesture alone:
''The ring is actually very sweet and fits Bellys personality. Also the seashell holder was a nod to their childhood.'' a Reddit user had a different perspective
However, fans are still complaining about the immature engagement plot in The Summer I Turned Pretty more than the size and the price of Belly's engagement ring. It will be interesting to see how this proposal turns out in the upcoming episodes.
