Everything is set to change forever this summer for the Fisher brothers and Belly in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3. The TV series debuted with impressive viewership, no surprise given how beloved Jenny Han's books are.
Not only this, Season 3 also serves as the final chapter adapted from Han's We'll Always Have Summer, in which Conrad becomes Belly's endgame. However, the ending could be different in the Prime Video series, which has only made fans more eager to see who Belly ultimately chooses.
In the story so far, Jeremiah and Belly stick to their plan to walk down the aisle in six weeks, while also hoping that their families will understand. By the end of Episode 4, Conrad, who initially called Jere and Belly’s idea "ridiculous", agrees to be his brother’s second best man.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 5 recap: Jeremiah misses out on wedding shopping plans
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 5 "Last Dance" opens with Conrad unable to stop thinking about the moment when Belly hugged him for agreeing to be Jeremiah's best man and making her dirt bombs for her belated birthday. The episode is narrated by Conrad, who opens up about how much it hurts to let Belly go.
However, Conklin is solely focused on her wedding plans and waits for Jere and Taylor to accompany her for shopping at Michael's. Later, Taylor pulls up outside StarcadeX to pick up Jeremiah so they can head to Cousins together.
But Jere mentions he has some work to finish and asks her to wait nearby. Taylor then receives a call from her mother and realizes that she cannot make it to Cousins and promises Belly to compensate for it at her bridal shower.
To make things worse, Adam piles on extra work for the team. Wanting to help Steven and Denise, Jeremiah steps up and takes the responsibility. He texts Belly to let her know he won’t be able to take her to Michael’s, which leaves her feeling a little hurt and anxious.
Back at the office, Jeremiah impresses his dad with his work on the revenue report. They uncover signs of shady business dealings, and Adam actually praises Jeremiah for how well he’s been doing lately.

He had very specific preferences: mirror glaze, dark chocolate frosting, and a coulis topping. But when Belly asks for the price, it turns out to be way over budget. She tries to explain to the shop assistant that it’s for a birthday party, not a wedding, hoping for a discount. Still, the price remains unchanged.
Belly texts Jere to see if he can help with the cake situation, but he replies that he’s stuck at work. The response leaves Belly feeling disappointed, and she walks out of the store with just a few cupcakes. Luckily, Conrad spots her, pulls over, and offers her a ride.
Belly then calls Jeremiah and suggests making a few changes to the cake to stay within budget. But Jeremiah insists they need that exact cake, which pushes Belly to the edge. She breaks down, feeling overwhelmed and alone, as she’s already handling most of the planning by herself.
Jeremiah didn’t even show up on time to take Belly to Michael’s, but Conrad, who still clearly has feelings for her, makes sure the plan doesn’t fall apart. The two head to the store, pick up everything Belly needs, and end up having a genuinely fun time together.

However, Belly humoursly asks if he only eats chicken because that's what Conrad has been making for days. As The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 5 is narrated by Conrad Fisher, he reflects on the passionate night he shared with Belly four years ago and wonders how different things might be now if he hadn’t pushed her away.
They enjoy dinner together, reminiscing about their childhood and sharing the little things that make them happy, moments that are sure to leave Bonrad fans hoping even more for Conrad to be Belly’s endgame. However, Jere finally makes it to Cousins, but the day is over, and Belly has done most of the work.
The two then talk and dance under the starry night, while Conrad finds himself lost in memories of his final moments with his mother. He had promised Susannah that he’d take care of Jeremiah and everyone else.

While The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 5 mostly centered around Belly and Conrad, it also dropped subtle hints that something might be brewing between Steven and Denise. It doesn’t seem like he’s falling for her completely, but a kiss or something more.
Even Jeremiah commented that Denise is cool and that Steven might find her interesting. But right after that, Steven quickly points out that he and Taylor are just friends, even though Jere didn’t mention Taylor at all.
