The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 8 recap: The wedding rehearsal begins
Episode 8 of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 kicks off with Belly finding it hard to forget what Conrad told her last night. She couldn't sleep and had to face him again, the very next morning.
Conrad tells Belly that he was drunk and she must forget whatever he confessed. However, she knows that he wasn't drunk and everything came from his heart. The two fight, and Conrad mentions that he will "never not love" Belly and that his feelings never really changed.
But Belly still called him "heartless," and Conrad tells her to do everything her way. The wedding rehearsal begins at the club, and Blely looks beautiful in her wedding dress while walking down the aisle, but with a confusing smile.
Later, the family catches up for dinner in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 8, where Jere and Belly express their heartfelt thanks to everyone. From Laurel's resilience to Conrad being the most loyal man to his brother, the couple praises everyone.
There's still pain in Conrad's eyes and fear in Belly's heart. As the day ends, Jere tells Belly that he has accepted the job offer at Adam's office. She started to learn that Jere didn't care to discuss it with her as the joining is right from the next month.
But since he wants the best for her best friend, Belly tells Jere to keep the job if that's what he wants. They go to grab some ice cream, but Conrad refuses to come. Jere reminds him that he's the best man and has been missing out on almost every outing.

Jeremiah goes missing on the wedding day in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 8
Before the wedding day, Belly wanted to tell Jeremiah about Conrad's confession, and she finally does. Jere is filled with rage and feels betrayed that Conrad didn't tell him the truth and is still keeping it a secret.
However, Belly asks him to calm down, and she stays with him the whole night. The next morning, Belly wakes up to find out that Jeremiah is missing on his wedding day, and everyone is gradually learning about what happened between Belly and Conrad.
Conrad knew where his brother was: At Sussanah's garden, where the two had fought. Jeremiah punches Conrad, feeling hurt that he still loves Belly. Despite the clash, Conrad gives Sussannah's letter to Jere, which was actually meant for Conrad.
Sussanah mentioned that she only saw Conrad being in love once, and that was with Belly Conklin. Jeremiah then asks Conrad to leave before the wedding, saying, "You're dead to me", and asks him never to show up.
However, Jere didn't really mean it and left with a heavy heart. Back the the house, everyone is worried as Belly has been freaking out since morning. Taylor then asks Belly not to marry Jeremiah, which results in Belly using harsh words against Taylor.
She confronts Taylor about her messy relationship, and that’s exactly when Steven walks in. He defends Taylor and reminds Belly that she's been her best friend since childhood and knows what's best for her.
A heartfelt conversation between Conrad and Belly in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 8
When Belly hears a knock at he door, she thinks Jeremiah has finally come to explain why he disappeared without informing. Turns out it's Conrad who wants to bid farewell to the only girl he ever loved.
He apologizes to Belly for hurting her and says:
"It hurts. To being near you like this... I need you to know that whatever happens, it was worth it to me. Being with you, loving you, it was all worth it."
Since this episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is narrated by Belly, she explains that they always found a way back, "But this time it felt final". She couldn't stop Conrad or even say a word as he left.
Steven tells Taylor that there's nothing between him and Denise
While the trio is the heart of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, it's incomplete without Taylor and Steven. The two might have broken up, but still feel for each other. On the wedding day, Steven tells Taylor that nothing is going on between him and Denise.
They tried, but it turned out it's better to just keep things professional and work on the project they're planning. This comforts Taylor's heart as it's evident in her eyes. Before they're called for their duties as maid of honor and best man, Steven tells Taylor, "To be continued...", suggesting he wants her back.
Belly and Jeremiah call off the wedding in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 8
Jeremiah then heads to Belly’s room to see her. When asked about his whereabouts, Jere says that he doesn't want to talk about it as he has returned, and that's what matters now.
He also mentions coming back every time, and Conrad is the one who leaves. But looking at Belly's face, Jere could understand that she still has feelings for Conrad, which might never fade.
Since the truth is out, Belly admits that she still has a place for Conrad in her heart. She says:
"Yes. I think I'll always love him a little. I'll always have him in my heart."
Even though Belly says that Conrad isn't the one, Jere isn't convinced. He mentions that Sussanah's letter was not for him but Conrad, as she also wanted to see Belly and Conrad together.
Before parting ways, Jermiah tells Belly that "you can't marry me to erase him". Belly knew that after all this, if she had asked Jeremiah to still marry her, he wouldn't have said no. But, she had to let him go.
As The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 8 ends, Belly decides to pursue her Paris dream. At the airport, she sees Conrad with Taylor Swift's "Cardigan" playing in the background, suggesting that Conrad is still not over.
