The Survivors, an Australian drama miniseries, premiered on Netflix on June 6, 2025, with all 6 episodes dropping simultaneously. Created by Tony Ayres, The Survivors is based on a best-selling book of the same name by Jane Harper. The official synopsis of the show, as per Rotten Tomatoes, mentions

Kieran Elliott, one of the central characters in The Survivors, comes back to his hometown, Evelyn Bay, after 15 years. She is shown to be rather cold and holds Kieran accountable for the death of Finn, which makes their relationship complicated. As Kieran comes back home after 15 years, the tension between the two grows while both deal with their respective trauma and guilt.

Yerin Ha portrays Mia, Kieran's partner. She is also from Evelyn Bay and was close to Gabby, one of the three people who passed away in the tragedy 15 years back. Damien Garvey as Brian Elliott
Damien Garvey plays the role of Brian Elliott. Brian is shown to be an old and ailing man who is having memory issues. He is Kieran’s father, and it is because of his failing health that Kieran comes back to his hometown with his family.
