Hulu's latest true crime series, The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, is gearing up for the finale week. Created by K.J. Steinberg, the story delves into the false accusation of Amanda Knox for the murder of a British exchange student and her flatmate, Meredith Kercher.
Among the eight episodes, six have already been released. The penultimate episode of the limited series will drop on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, on Hulu. Previously in The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, we saw how the evidence was manipulated by the Italian authorities, and both Amanda and Raffaele were sentenced to 26 and 25 years of imprisonment, respectively, based on scant evidence.
In Episode 6, we finally saw how Amanda did not back off and fought for herself. After recovering from the initial shock of the first trial and hearing, she gathered the courage to face the jury and prove her innocence in the appellate court.

In this episode, we saw how, after the initial breakdown post the sentence hearing, Amanda Knox fell into depression. With the help of Don Saulo, her inmates, and a few positive updates (DNA experts from Idaho) on the case, Amanda finally came out of depression.
During the day of her appeal hearing, she looked firm and confident. She wasn't the naive college student anymore whose statements were twisted to fit the narrative of the Italian police and authorities. The DNA experts slammed the police authorities for mishandling evidence and framing Raffaele and Amanda for Meredith Kercher's murder.
The prosecution's closing statement didn't sound convincing, while Amanda put forward the truth quite clearly in her closing statement. She spoke for Raffaele as well; she also pointed out the police's manipulation and extended her sympathy for Meredith Kercher's family.
